If the smell doesnt go away, clean the air fryer and its removable components using a soft sponge, water and soap.

I have been wanting an air fryer for a while now and decided to hold out for the Skinnytaste one to be released. I received it on Saturday and immediately got it all set up and ready to use. I decided to throw a handful of frozen fries in to test it out. They came out great and tasted better than in the oven. Unfortunately, when I pulled the drawer out by the handle to look at the fries, the basket and handle detached from the drawer and the drawer fell on the floor. Thankfully there wasn’t any grease or other hot liquid in it! We have checked everything over to make sure I hadn’t put it together wrong, but it just looks like the clips that attach the basket to the drawer are just too small to support the weight. Hopefully they’ll change this for a future design because I’d hate to see someone get hurt from a flying 400° metal basket. ... show more

My sister and I are huge Skinnytaste fans and were both interested in purchasing air fryers when we saw that she'd made this one with Vremi. I ordered one for my sister as a Mother's Day gift to try it out, and if she liked it I would order one for myself. We both wanted this to work, but after using it for dinner one time this weekend (we made wings and fries) the air fryer wouldn't turn on when we tried to use it a second time. It took a lot of cajoling until it finally worked again (and by that point the chicken was already in the oven). Two stars for concept, but disappointed that the product does not seem to be well-made (especially for the price). I'm going to call customer service as well to see if we can get a replacement or a refund. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I hate that I have to give a bad review on this product because I love, love, love Gina’s recipes but unfortunately this product needs more testing. I made hard boiled eggs and they were perfect, Italian sausage and they were perfect, went to make fries and the fryer turned off and the panel was frozen after it was preheated. I had to leave it sit for an hour before I was able to get it to work again. The look and simplicity of this product is great I just hope they can get the bugs figured out soon so people can actually use it. ... show more

I could not wait to get this. Plugged it in and the computer screen lit up, numbers were flashing, turned it off and it would not turn on again. Returning to Vremi and will buy a different one. So bummed 🙁

    • Stopped working after 2nd use
I am a die hard skinny taste fan and have been waiting for this for a long time. I used it twice--correctly--but on the 3rd time the buttons stopped working and the lights are flashing like crazy. Maybe I got a lemon, but buyer beware.

I was so excited to get this air fryer! I preordered it and waited. We put it on the counter to set it up and immediately realized that the basket didn’t slide in. The plastic was all warped. So we picked it up to check it and something was rattling inside it as well. Ugh. Couldn’t exchange for some reason so just refunded. Not happy.... ... show more

I used mine one time. The basket kept falling out, and it wouldn’t turn on for a second use. I wanted to support skinnytaste and waited for the release. Now I wish I had just order a tried and true one, but instead I’m waiting for a new and different one to arrive.

I was lucky enough to get a pro-type and have been using it on the daily! The size if the basket is larger than my older one, and I love that it's dishwasher safe.
