The canopy is pretty close to what we were expecting. It looks like it is well-designed overall, and we expect it will provide a generous amount of shade for an extended beach trip later this summer. I expect we can anchor it well enough to hold up in most winds, but we will be taking it down each night just to be safe. It goes up and comes down very easily with two people. I would have given it 5 stars except for a few issues: 1) There was no Velcro on the canvas corners to adhere to the Velcro on the poles. 2) One seam on the end of the carrying case/bag has already split and will have to be fixed. 3) The canvas cover came in an attached pocket on the OUTSIDE of the bag, but the instructions show that you can leave the cover attached to the frame and collapse it sort of like an umbrella and then shove everything back into the carrying bag. Convenient, right? Except it's a real chore compressing the frame AND cover to fit back into the bag. Why couldn't the bag be an inch or two bigger in circumference to make this a whole lot easier? Minor stuff, but still disappointing because they are easily prevented or fixed. ... show more

The initial unit I received had some stitching issues with the velcro straps that hold the canopy in place. This allowed water to pool when a moderate rain came, which caused the frame to collapse. I reached out to the company with pictures if the issues and they sent a replacement right away. Pros: The unit is easy to set up and take down, collapses to a portable size, and seems to withstand the winds at the beach well enough. The company cared about my satisfaction. Cons: it is difficult to expand the base with one person, the stitching was lacking on the first canopy I received, and the color seemed to fade pretty quick in the Florida sun. ... show more

Put this up a couple months ago and it looked great. Weighed it down with the included weights and it was quite lovely. It rained one night and the canopy tent held water and caused the whole thing to bend and one of the arms bent quite a bit at the screw. I managed to rig a way for it to be sturdy again, I had to rig a rope line to keep a side tight. But alas a little wind toile the whole thing down into a twisted mess. I couldn’t even figure out how to get it folded back up to put it away. So many of the arms has bent out of shape it was useless. The metal is very light weight Which is good but it makes the tent very susceptible to damage from any kind of weather. It didn’t even last long for me. ... show more

I bought this to provide shade for our small deck, and we love it! The first one was defective, but Amazon replaced it right away! We used mosquito netting and outdoor curtains to line it, and weight bags with bungee chords to hold it down. It has lasted VERY WELL through storms and crazy wind gusts over the past 6 weeks. Great canopy! It was super easy to setup and take down. The buttons to put it away are really nice and don’t pinch fingers. The canopy is also built so that wind can get through the top. So while other canopies were trying to fly away, this one stayed pretty still. Great purchase. Would recommend.

Never bought one before because I thought they are cumbersome. But this one was really easy to set up, I'm 6'4 and fit under it walking around freely no ducking. It came with plenty of rope and stakes to the it down and some rock or sand bags to weigh the legs down. I keep it in the lowered position in the yard for the kids clubhouse. Provides great shade. I put it up all bymyself in about 5 minutes. Not a bad deal. We will see how it holds up through the summer and camping., update.. 6.26.22 so far so good.
