This was almost too big, but it fit o.k.. At 5.4 lb. I don’t think she is going to grow anymore. I had the next size up, x small, and had to return it. The Velcro on the top overlapped. This one is xx small. I was afraid of her wiggling out of a regular collar and this prevents that. It seems to be comfortable for her. She gets excited when I get it out in the morning signaling to her that we are going outside. It is vented, so she doesn’t seem to get hot in it. I like it and she doesn’t appear to mind it, once it is on. A little tricky getting it on to a pup with squirming body and constantly moving legs. We are working on learning to sit and stay while putting it on, but it isn’t going very well do far. Once on, she doesn’t seem to mind it, and I am not so worried about her getting loose. We rescued a very young puppy who isn't yet old enough to make it through the night before needing to go out to do her business. I like this harness because it is really easy to put on when you are half asleep at 1am. And I can tell she likes it too, more so than the regular collar, so I'm guessing it has some sort of "thunder shirt" effect. I bought a second larger one to use as she grows. I'll probably buy more because, judging by her paws (don't know her sire's breed and her Mom is a lab mix), she's gonna be a big girl. ... show more

I bought this for my average sized to maybe smaller French Bulldog (25lbs) in an XL. It is slightly loose and I probably could have ordered a large, but if she grows any it's perfect. Even being slightly loose it works perfectly. However, having said that, make sure you measure. It is not adjustable like some harnesses, so if it is anything more than slightly loose you can't tighten or loosen at all. I can't stress enough that knowing what size you need is important. If your dog measures between sizes, size up. Loose is great but too small is too small. It is much like a padded vest. Very nice for the cooler spring weather. For a French Bulldog it is probably NOT a wise idea for summer heat as they tend to easily overheat or have a heat stroke. I am in western NY so, it's a great choice for us. The major heat of summer is MAYBE 2 months. It closes on with your typical plastic clips. But also, the D rings are one on each side of the clip so there is absolutely no chance of it opening up when on a leash. I wouldn't call it a "no pull" harness, but the way it puts the pull on the dog's chest and underside is nice. This particular dog does not pull, so I haven't put it to the test. However, if I bought the same for my larger bulldogs who do pull I'd still feel comfortable in the ability to hold them back using it. EXCELLENT value for the money! ... show more

I read a review that this product fit a Frenchie weighing 25#, if a bit big on that dog. My Frenchie is 28# and we’re working on getting her to 25#. The XL fits beautifully. The reflective pieces on the underside front didn’t feel good as I ran my hand over and under the harness. It is in a spot of a lot of movement while walking, so I removed the underside and tacked the top side with thread. The reflective part remains on the outside and doesn’t rub on the upper leg/arm of the dog. 1st photo is the top side. 2nd photo is the underside after the part has been removed. ... show more

Bought this attractive, comfortable, easy to use vest in a variety of colors. Most unfortunately all of the vests ripped at reinforced seams after 3-4 wks of wear. Something is very wrong! Bought at least 6 of these vests for my under 5 lb MALTESE and my little guy ripped each at reinforced seam. Same places for each vest. My almost exactly same American River vests lasted years and I replaced them ( after years of use) only because they had faded. The Voyager brand vests seem made to self destruct. Look great but some design flaw or compromised fabric! Feel ripped off ... show more

Lightweight, soft, flexible, stretch-mesh material PERFECT for my DIY harness-suspenders to keep doggie diapers ON! I was having to put diapers on extremely tight just to keep them from slipping off my girl's severely atrophied hind end. This has caused discomfort & chronic infections. I originally ordered this harness for my 10 lb mini poodle (size small). The fit was perfect, it was easy to put on, and was perfect for walks. She couldn’t slip out (like with her prior harness) and she seemed comfortable wearing it. I ended up purchasing another one for my 19 lb mini poodle/Bichon (size large). He is more aggressive on walks and pulls a lot more so I was worried about it’s durability. To date it’s held up great and I haven’t had any issues. I walk the dogs daily so it’s had plenty of use over the 4 months I’ve owed them. They are so easy to slip on yet secure enough the pet can’t get out. Perfect harness.
