First things first -- these are really nice knives -- not up to the quality of Kyocera, but for the price, I didn't expect them to be. I purchased them for two reasons: 1) I'd just moved into a temporary apartment (which seems to be turning into a permanent move, but I digress ... ) and needed a decent but less expensive set of knives; and 2) I was curious how these would rate compared to my "gold standard," Kyocera. OK, so they're not quite as sharp as their much-higher-priced rivals, but they're definitely sharper than most moderately-priced stainless knives that I've used in the past. My primary interest in ceramic knives is the low maintenance (sharpening is a very rare occurrence -- I've had one of my Kyocera knives for 13 years and it's as sharp today as it was when I purchased it). These feel as if they'll perform quite nicely for several years. The three knives are great sizes -- I tend to use the Santoku most often, especially prepping salads. I store mine in a block specially designed for ceramic knives, so I don't use the covers that come with these knives. If you choose not to use a block, you'll definitely want to use these to store the knives in the drawer. They are, after all, ceramic, which means they CAN chip and break. So bottom line -- I'm giving these 5 stars because they're a nice set of decent ceramic knives for a great price. I've been using them regularly for a month and I've seen no issues at all. Very happy with this purchase.

Okay, I rarely leave reviews, but I had to leave 5 stars. Let me help you out, don't look any further and BUY THIS SET! Let me explain. First of all, I have loved ceramic knives for several years because you can always count on them to be super sharp and everything is easier to cut using them--yes they are brittle and if you're not super careful then they chip and break, but I just know that's how they are so I usually plan to have to re buy them every so often. So when I got these knives and saw they came with a lifetime warranty I was like, "that can't be right, no way will they just replace them when they brake, they are ceramic." Well, anyway, a few months later and I had had no problems with chipping or anything until I was cutting something super hard with one and it snapped at the handle. I said, "well that was predictable, I should have known better." So I contacted the company thinking "no way will they replace this." But, they immediately responded and sent me a whole new set and within 2 days it was at my door! I was totally in shock! 10 stars for customer service! Trust me, from an avid ceramic blade user, I'm only ever buying from this company ever again! You can't ask for better value. Also, the knives themselves don't disappoint, they work great, the peeler is awesome and I love the colors. If you've never tried a ceramic blade, buy these! Trust me, you'll never go back.

Knifes are excellent and hold edge ...had on that the blade didn't hold edge...lots of chips..but all others were excellent ...they didn't relate that knife after complaining ....but would buy this set again...good knives !

I love these knives. Ceramic is the sharpest blade I’ve tried they cut softer vegetables and fruits for me better than my Shun or Wustof. The couple of downfalls are that the handlers are plastic which is not as aesthetically pleasing and looks cheap sitting in the knife rack. They will eventually break since they are more delicate material and you can’t cut hard foods with them. Despite that the price makes them such a good value and not terrible to have to replace them every year or two is about how long it takes for me to drop and chip one…

These are not as nice as my Kyocera, but they work and are seemingly sharp. The Kyocera cuts smoother and with less effort than these do. That said, these three knives are less expensive than the one Kyocera, so if you're looking for ceramic knives on a budget, then these will do nicely.
