This is an expensive space heater. I cannot deny that. But there is something different about the heat it produces. The space it heats feels more full/complete for some reason. There aren’t as many hot or cold pockets of air in the room. When I purchased this space heater I fully expected it to blast hot air around my room like a typical Vornado fan does. That is NOT the case. Do not buy this unit expecting a typical Vornado fan but only with hot air. The space heater does not get close to pushing the air out at that velocity. BUT, it is still by far the most comfortable feeling space heater I’ve ever owned. I have many space heaters in my house that I’ve bought from this site at less than half the price. They’ve actually blown out what feels like hotter air and faster. However, the thermostats on those units were never accurate. This one is!! And, like I said, for whatever reason the heat feels better with this Vornado heater. I feel like it is obvious but I’ll say it anyways, this is easily the nicest looking space heater I’ve seen in person. But, that isn’t as important as the great performance. ... show more

When it works it works fine and it is a quiet BUT!!! if you move it around or even bump into it it will shut down. Part of its safety feature ok i get it. BUT THERES IS NO RESET ive had the darn thing unplugged all night. Which they tell you to unplugg for like 5 minutes to reset which i did and out of desperation left it unplugged all night. When i pluggd it back in it would turn and heat for 1 minute and shut down. Ive had this problem from day 1. Somedays it works somedays it won’t. THIS PRODUCT IS NOT RELIABLE or built right for customer use. Go ahead and buy this product. and feel my frustration of throwing this heater in the trash. While you have to spend another $150 to buy another “nice” room heater on a gamble from another company. Picture is to show it is set to 75 but it wont come on and its displaying 68“ degrees in my room ... show more

Reliable and gives off good heat if you are within 10 ft or so. Definite noticed a change in electric bill even without daily use and maybe on average 2 hours a day (and that is generous). Nice safety features and a reputable brand.

This heater is fantastic. Any heater will have a smell when first ran, which is why you're supposed to run them for a few hours in a ventilated area. That isnt exclusive to this one so I'm not sure why that seems to be such an issue for so many. One of the best things about this heater is that it heats an entire space evenly and so quietly. It doesn't just blast whatever is a foot in front of it with hot air like most space heaters. It circulates the air in the room so that it isnt a hot zone then cold zones. Vornado VMHi600 Whole Room Metal Space Heater is not only an excellent quality product but also a decorative piece. Made of good quality stainless steel, a cubic structure and very stable, works quietly and efficiently. It is a decorative piece I fell in love with this product which prompted me to determine where it is manufactured. To my disappointment, this product is manufactured in China. Amazon did not disclose this information while selling it to me. Amazon should be charged for not disclosing this information to buyers. There is an anti-China sentiment prevailing in this country. I live in the forest and I have one room that is built on and has separate heat from the rest of the house, every winter It’s cold unless I have the fire goingNot this winter it really works well. I love to get a great product and this is one of them.
