This is a great scooter so far and I have been through at least 3 other scooters in this price range. I have 4 kids who all tried them out and they all agreed this is the best one. EDIT: We had 1 of our 4 scooter's latches come undone while riding. This caused a pretty bad accident for my daughter who was riding over 16MPH at the time. Apparently she hit a small bump and that caused the latch to open up and the front bar to begin folding in half. That is a MAJOR problem. We are returning for a replacement and, thankfully, none of our other scooters have had this problem, so I am hoping it's a one-off. But that's a real concern with any scooter and this one had it. The most important issues for me when shopping were the following in order of importance: 1. Battery Life If you have to constantly recharge, it's a no go. This scooter so far has been fantastic. We have been several miles and show only one bar down. Obviously for children and their weight it goes even further. Very happy with this. 2. Speed We returned the first scooters I tried because they only got up to 15.5 MPH, which is just not quite fast enough to be fun on straightaways. But this one gets to 19 MPH, which is about the fastest you want your 8-16 years olds riding at, so it's perfect. 3. Ride Quality We returned the last scooter, which did well on these metrics, but the suspension was a joke. So among the options here, I went immediately to the version with dual suspension and the ride quality is so clearly better than the other scooters. 4. Other Features The cruise control works the way all other scooters work. If it is set to On, it will hold your speed if you keep the throttle at the same speed for a few seconds. The headlights are the same as other brands. The breaking is better than the other brands. The tubeless tires are great and feel very sturdy. The size is spot on for children. Maybe a little tall for 8 years olds but they can ride anything. The folding works. The brakes work. It's cool to have the turn signals, but from the back nobody could possible see them. The interface is pretty easy and better and bigger than other ones. 5. Not sure It's not obvious how good the regenerative braking is (if it comes with this at all) because there is no indication of anything happening. But as I mentioned the battery life is great and we have yet to recharge after several sessions. The scooter apps don't tend to do much and so I haven't even tried the app for this. The only thing that would really make a difference is being able to lock the scooter. Not sure how foolproof that would be, but it's something. ... show more

I purchased this Electric Scooter five months ago, and it has exceeded my expectations in terms of performance and convenience. The 10'' pneumatic tires provide a smooth and comfortable ride, even on slightly uneven surfaces. The 500W motor ensures a powerful and efficient commute, easily reaching a max speed of 21 MPH. One of the standout features for me is the impressive range of upto 27 miles on a single charge. This has proven to be more than sufficint for my daily commuting needs, and I appreciate the reliability it offers. It hasn't given an issue so far. The dual braking system provides an extra layer of safety, enhancing my overall riding experience. The folding mechanism is nice and allows me to take it with me in my truck of my car. It allows for easy storage in tight spaces and fits in my small closet and doesnt take up much space in my house. As someone who uses this scooter for daily commuting, the folding feature has been incredibly convenient. Overall, I highly recommend this Electric Scooter for adults looking for a reliable, efficient, and convenient mode of transportation. Volpam SP6 ** Update 4/24 ** After a 4 mth ownership now the on/off button broke. The company contacted me following this review, but with the exact same line as before - I send it back and I'll be without a scooter till they send me one back AND while they provide a shipping label, I HAVE TO PAY for it to be picked up at my address. *** First off - this is not a commuter scooter, it is really a basic entry model, and it does not fulfill what it promises. When I complained about the performance the company told me that they tested it on flat ground with a rider of 130 pounds. I doubt that the average commuter weighs only 130 pounds... It never went faster than 17 miles per hour and after riding 10-11 miles it has to be recharged (I live in Miami, only flat ground here, and I weigh much less than the 256 pounds it's rated for) After 6 weeks it developed a rattling noise - customer service wrote me to put a 'drop of oil'... After another 4 weeks it started vibrating strongly while riding and customer service instructed me to send it back so they can repair it. I would be left without a scooter while they do that. But the best thing was that they didn't pay for shipping from your address, you have to bring it to UPS or pay UPS to pick it up ($20). So I basically have to pay to have the warranty of a product that I paid for, fulfilled... I don't recommend buying this scooter - you can get such a basic model for $200 already. Or if you have bought it and you have any problems, your best choice is to return it while you still have the Amazon free return option. ... show more

The scooter itself is great and works well, it arrived when expected and the family loves it. BUT it did come with one of the side reflectors broken off on the back which is a bummer especially with how much it costs. It doesn't hinder the function of the scooter fortunately but more care should be taken in the packaging it seems because now that safety feature isn't there and it is also cosmetically flawed. I'd still recommend purchasing for teens or adults to use recreationally because it gets good speed, is easy to handle, and is a good size and weight. I have a 16, 14, and an almost 12 year old who loves it but I don't think I'd let someone younger or less coordinated ride because it definitely gets up to 19 mph. ... show more
