  • Love My New Ride!
My children each have an electric scooter and it was time for mom to join in on the fun and have one of her own. I enjoy riding the scooter for errands and fun. This scooter caught my eye with the 10-inch pneumatic tires, front and rear suspension, and dual braking. The front & and rear suspension provides me with a smooth ride. The scooter charges fast and has a good battery life. I like how well the smart app works, I can use it to lock/unlock the scooter, customize my speed, use it for my lights and more. The controls are intuitive and easy to use. The scooter can reach high speed without compromising on stability. It was a breeze to put together the scooter. It provides me with a comfortable ride. As for hills or slopes the scooter handles them like a pro. The throttle responds well. Folding up the scooter is quick and easy, which is nice for when I must carry it inside or put it in the car. The headlights are bright, and it also has rear wheel warning lights. I like how sturdy the scooter is built. Riding the scooter saves me gas money and it is also fun to ride. The scooter has exceeded my expectations, delivering a combination of power, range, performance, and construction quality. ... show more

  • Ordered a lemon. It died in 3.5 weeks.
I was very pleased with the product for about 3.5 weeks. I used it pretty normally for a daily commute of about 1km each way in good weather on nice roads. Then, a few days before the 30-day return was up, the motor/battery just cut out on me while riding when I hit the break slightly. The display would not turn back on. I brought it home and charged it, but it still wouldn't turn on. I looked inside, but I didn't want to mess with any wires and there was no way to disconnect the battery and put it back together without doing so because all the connections were glued together. I saw some videos online suggesting this happens due to bad batteries coming from China. I guess getting what appears to be a ninebot max with shocks for a discount was too good to be true. I am very lucky that it didn't happen 3 days later, or I'd be out $500. Amazon offered to replace it, but I said I just wanted a refund and would buy a different scooter instead. The real ninebot should get here next week. It's a few hundred bucks more and doesn't have suspension, but everyone says those are actually reliable, which I realized is more important. You get what you pay for. Don't make the same mistake I did. Spend the extra money for something that hopefully won't die on you and leave you $500 out of pocket with NO scooter. ... show more

  • Reliable and Efficient Electric Scooter! Comfortable Ride
I purchased this Electric Scooter five months ago, and it has exceeded my expectations in terms of performance and convenience. The 10'' pneumatic tires provide a smooth and comfortable ride, even on slightly uneven surfaces. The 500W motor ensures a powerful and efficient commute, easily reaching a max speed of 21 MPH. One of the standout features for me is the impressive range of upto 27 miles on a single charge. This has proven to be more than sufficint for my daily commuting needs, and I appreciate the reliability it offers. It hasn't given an issue so far. The dual braking system provides an extra layer of safety, enhancing my overall riding experience. The folding mechanism is nice and allows me to take it with me in my truck of my car. It allows for easy storage in tight spaces and fits in my small closet and doesnt take up much space in my house. As someone who uses this scooter for daily commuting, the folding feature has been incredibly convenient. Overall, I highly recommend this Electric Scooter for adults looking for a reliable, efficient, and convenient mode of transportation. It has served me well over the past five months, and I continue to enjoy its performance and versatility. ... show more

  • Enjoying my commute
This scooter performs well for my 5 mile commute to work (10 miles round trip). I was hesitant to go with this brand, as it had only a few reviews, but so far I'm very pleased. I've only done six or so commutes, so I can't say anything about it's longevity, except it is very solid so I'm not worried about it breaking in that regard. Time will tell how the batteries last. To compare, I've owned a previous scooter, a GoTrax V2, with 8.5" pneumatic tires, 15.5 mph top speed, and 12 mile range. I used this scooter once to get home from work (~5 miles). 15.5 mph was just a bit too slow, so I wanted to upgrade to something faster. The range at full speed also was less than my ten mile round trip, so I needed longer range. The ride was also a bit bumpy leaving my feet shaken at the end, so I was interested in larger tires and shocks. The Volpam SP01 had all the specs I was interested in at my price point (~500), with the bonus of double suspension. Here are some comments on its performance: (for reference I'm 160 lbs) Speed: I easily max out at 21 mph on shallow slopes and sometimes will go 22 mph (if the odometer is accurate - it feels accurate from my experience riding a bicycle and how often I pass other scooters). Sometimes on smooth straight surfaces I feel like I would want to go faster, but in reality, 21 mph is probably perfect to balance speed with safety. Crashing at greater speed could be very bad. I had a squirrel lunge in front of me one day going near full speed - so unexpected things happen. Hills: It handles the steepest hills okay, slowing down to about 15 mph which isn't bad. It's a beast of a hill on my bike, so I won't give the scooter a hard time. Cruise control: Works well with an intuitive beep. However, it has a quirk where the cruise control will set at speeds less than maximum if the scooter is not accelerating due to a hill (say 17 mph), even if it could continue accelerating. The easy solution is to release the throttle and cruise at that speed for two or three seconds, then hold the throttle again and it will accelerate until it beeps again indicating you are cruising at a higher speed. Acceleration: I set it to a little over a half of its capability (to save battery life), and it accelerates perfectly fast. The throttle is very responsive, which is a big difference from my GoTrax, which has an odd delay when hitting the throttle to when power is applied to the motor. The Volpam is instantly responsive, which feels very nice giving bursts of acceleration around bends. Build: Very sturdy, quality material. My neighbors were impressed with its look when I had it out for the first time. The latch that holds it when folded (attached to the handle bar, looks like a mount but is not) is very solid, quite a bit more solid than my GoTrax. The rubber grip in the deck is nice, though may be one of my only complaints - I picked at its edge with my fingers and it seems like it could peel up easily. However, I've had no issue with peeling while riding so far. Just be ready with some E3000 glue if you need it. Size: The deck is a good size, but the scooter handles are quite tall. I'm 6'3" and I even felt it a little tall at first, though I've gotten used to it and it's actually a very good height for me. If you are particularly short, you may want something else. Brakes: The breaks are responsive, but not too responsive - just about perfect really. I would have to be careful with my GoTrax to no throw myself off by pressing the breaks very gently. Not so with this scooter, the breaks have a good range of strength without fearing they will lock up. Range: After a days commute of ~10 miles, going full speed, with some substantial hills, I have ~50% battery life left. So I think it could get me about 20 miles under these conditions, which is quite good (I'm 160 lbs). Lights: I haven't ridden at night, so can't say. Tires: Holding up well so far. Charging: Charger is working fine. At first I thought the light would never turn green, but I learned I just didn't leave it charging long enough - go figure. Now that I wait patiently, it turns green when fully charged as expected. Customer service: My scooter was missing the kick stand when I received it. I messaged the seller through Amazon, and after a few back and forths (which they replied promptly each time), they mailed me the kick stand all the way from China, which I did receive. This was overall a positive experience, as now I can expect some level of customer service in the future if needed. I also appreciate that they didn't ask for a review (this is my service to those looking for commuter scooters). I've experienced other companies basically try to extort good reviews from me, so I appreciate that they didn't do that. Water resistance: It's not meant to be water proof. I rode it through some puddles with no issues. Suspension: I think it is overall beneficial, but I'm not quite sure about the rear suspension. To be fair, I do hit some large bumps at 20 mph, so shaking is expected. The front suspension seems fine, but I wonder if it would be better without the rear suspension. It's hard to explain, the rear suspension feel a little jarring when hitting large bumps - but maybe that's just the nature of hitting bumps at high speed with relatively small tires. In summary, it's a good commuting scooter that will get me to work through the Texas summer. Hope this review helped. Cheers. ... show more
