  • Awesome for beginners!
Color: P51 Mustang
My 13 year old son and I have never flown an RC plane before this one. Within 15 minutes we were flying this plane easily. Awesome plane to learn on. I would recommend flying without the wheels on, and over a nice grass field. I feel like in a week or two of daily flying, you could master landing on cement, using the landing wheels BTW, we flew it in 8 mph winds, with gust up to 16 mph; and this little thing handled it. Amazing plane all around. Just bought a second one, so my son and I Can fly together. ... show more

  • Fascinating and fun trip into yesteryear.
Color: T28 Trojan
I flew RC with my father-in-law 50 years ago and have some scares to prove it. These are a whole new world. RTF, simple, fun and cheap...did I mention that they are inexpensive? Less than 1/50th the cost per minute of what it was in corrected dollars. Follow the setup instructions, no frequency tags, 6-axis gyro stability, combined 30 minutes of flight time, scale looks and watchers by others in the local park. Son got me one (P51) for 74th b-bay and flew mine so I got him this one (T28). He is virtual game savvy and took to it effortlessly flying circles around old grampa . I’ve read the reviews and frankly you can blow off the negatives. He/they probably had the skill level switch set backwards which is my only complaint. It is not intuitive but if you read the instructions, you realize it is backwards from the arrows on the transmitter. If it is a real problem, return it to Amazon or wherever you bought it. A heads up. The P51 came with the prop on the plane and a spare. The T28 came with 2 spares + 1. The props can and will break. They did 50 years ago. So, buy the plane and buy the package of 4 spare props (Amazon should offer it as an option). But hey? What do I know? I’m just an old guy who likes to have some pretty cheap fun and this did it for me. ... show more

  • flies beautifuly and it is very durable
Color: T28 Trojan
I fly this in a baseball field where there is usually some wind and it handles beautifully in beginner and intermediate modes. As a beginner, the expert mode is way too difficult but I can see how you can progress to it. What I do is gain some altitude, turn expert mode on, and then go back to beginner mode as soon as I start losing control. I crashed the plane inside a fenced plot of land on a saturday and could not retrieve it until Monday when I found the owner. The plane endured two cold nights and the corresponding morning dew. It still flies nicely after that incident. It works with multi module protocol v761. I use it with the tx16s. To make it work reliably you have to turn on the low power mode option in the tx16s, otherwise the plane and the control stop working together without warning mid flight. I have not had an issue with v761 in low power mode. ... show more

  • This is one FUN plane !
Color: T28 Trojan
I really love the T-28. This is the most durable plane in my hangar. I would not recommend this plane for first time pilots, but this would be a good second plane. The plane has three modes-Self leveling with low rates, Self leveling with mid rates, and experienced mode. I spend most of my time in the second mode, which provides self leveling and loops and limited rolls. It can fly fast or slow. The transmitter is quite basic but adequate for the task. The range is quite good, as I often fly out to 200+ yards. With some experience, this plane could be flown on a baseball field. The T-28 looks great in the air and is always an attention getter. I rate this plane as a solid 10 in terms of fun, value for the money, and durability. Be sure to purchase a spare pack of props if you plan on flying on grass fields like I do. ... show more

  • Paint fades easily
Color: T28 Trojan
I was thrilled that I was able to get this plane within 1 day and it was ready to fly out of the box (after a quick charge)! However after having flown it for 2 days, I’ve learned a few things! It is super easy and fun to fly, great for beginners, however, the prop falls off very easily and is difficult to find. The front wheel was not very durable and actually fell off during flight never to be seen again! Another huge complaint is that after only handling it for 2 days the paint is completely flaking off and you’d think that I’ve had this thing for 10yrs not 2 days. ... show more

  • Checks all the boxes!
Color: T28 Trojan
1 inexpensive 2 durable 3 good looking 4 easy to fly I am new to RC planes and have flown this twice in a soccer field. I found that is plenty of space especially if you fly it at 1/4th throttle. I crashed a bunch with zero damage to the plane or prop. I like to fly it without the landing gear because it think it looks more realistic and if you land on grass the gear is useless anyway. Flying expert mode is difficult but if you do at higher alt you will be ok. If you get into trouble just cut throttle and flip it into beginner mode and glide it back. I would recommend this plane. ... show more

  • Best bang for buck
Color: T28 Trojan
My friends and I all got these and have had too much fun with them. They will fly in 15-18mph winds, in light rain, etc. slam it into a wall? No problem. After a few hundred flights, I didn’t turn fast enough for a tree and the nose broke completely off. I glued it back together and was flying again in 5 minutes. That was weeks ago and it still flies fine. Get one! ... show more

  • All right.
Color: T28 Trojan
First of all i love the fact it has a beginner, medium , and expert mode. But the most unsatisfactory in this plane is the amazing of times the propeller in the front broke I flew it and I was say if you crashed it would be a 70% chance of breaking something. But overall the flying is great but the company really has to work on the plane with its durability and I would a slept better quaintly for $120. ... show more
