  • Great Machine!!!
Great machine, ready to run out of the box. Extremely fast and durable can’t get enough of it and can’t wait to start getting upgraded parts. Only knock I have is the price to get started with this hobby once you buy the truck, battery, and charger it puts a huge dent in your bank account.

  • Durable fun
Its durable. The wheels are too small. The esc is weak. Ive been havin fun upgrading everything. So far broke the front bulkhead only. I put new tires on in this pic. There too big.

  • Roller coaster love affair with the Traxxas Max
Well, where do I begin with the Traxxas Max? Just like a summer fling, my heart was filled with excitement and a twinge of reckless abandon when I first unboxed this purported beast of a machine. Day one - Oh, the elation! The pure thrill of seeing my brand-new, shiny RC truck roll over like a champion. But alas, this joy was short-lived. No sooner did I use the 'roll back over' mechanism, two tires bid me adieu, deciding they had had enough of this journey. I wouldn't blame them, but $70 for a new pair was not the sort of bonding I had signed up for. Armed with a fresh pair of tires, I dared to venture once more into the battlefield - a light bashing round. I'd barely gotten into the rhythm when the steering mechanism decided to take an unexpected leave of absence. Another $50 lighter, I upgraded to a wide kit for $75, earnestly hoping that this would mark the end of my seemingly cursed misadventures. Now, you would think that a brand-new wheel kit would at least survive a battery's worth of play. But lo and behold, my wheel started wobbling like a drunken sailor, revealing a broken wheel pin. And as if on cue, my precious, newly purchased tires decided to part ways. My wallet bled another $75 to fix these mechanical melodramas. Revved up and raring to go, I managed to get in one battery's worth of donuts on a grapple area before packing up. Hours later, the anticipation of another round quickly turned into despair. My Traxxas Max’s engine, much like my hope, was completely shot. As I sit here recounting my trials and tribulations with the Traxxas Max, I can't help but wonder, is there such a thing as too much power? Does this machine, with all its might and speed, simply outmatch its own mechanics? Dear fellow RC enthusiasts, if your idea of fun is an expensive, perpetual repair project, by all means, get yourself a Traxxas Max. But if you’re looking for a reliable machine that can withstand the adventures you're sure to throw at it, well, perhaps consider looking elsewhere. As for me, I'm still pondering my star-crossed relationship with the Traxxas Max - a classic case of love at first sight, swiftly followed by a series of unfortunate events. You may ask, 'was it worth it?' Well, my ever-thinning wallet seems to have a pretty clear answer to that. ... show more
