Holy moly.... so right before this purchase I had bought a much smaller (I'd say probably a standard-sized record player) that was really lovely, but significantly cheaper as I wanted to try out vinyls first. It wasn't even set up for a few days before I ended up gifting that one to a friend after finding this one to replace it with! It's pretty big so definitely consider the space you'll need for the speakers in addition to the record player box. The wood finish looks a lot better than photographs on the listing, I was expecting a bit more of a laminate effect but that's not reality (I'll try update this with actual photos in the light). It is a bit of an investment, but honestly for me so worth it - and it's in the range (or actually cheaper!) of the brand name record players, with similar sound quality, gorgeous looks that will definitely be a conversation starter, and for less moola. If you've tried a starter record player, or know that you want to start collecting vinyls, this is the way to go! One more note - because there is no dust over with this, make sure to keep your vinyl cloth handy to wipe down the records before playing to avoid the needle skipping on any dust/lint buildup. I guess thank you to the other record player for making me realize that I loved vinyls, and discovering this one that's a lot more attractive and much better sound! ... show more

For the price, the unit is attractive and works well. Impressed with the Bluetooth link....picks up anywhere in the house from my iPhone. Records play smooth. Finish on the unit needs some quality control. Corner appeared to be damaged during manufacturing and filled in with a bunch of glue and stain. i.e. doesn't look anything like the smooth clean finish of the photos online. Should have never pass quality inspection. I've requested a return and replacement. ... show more

    • Doesn't play 78s well.
I was very excited to buy this record player. I purchased this player because I have an extensive 78rpm collection. When I play 33rpm it's amazing. However, when I play 78s the sound cuts off about 10 seconds before the record ends. It's very disappointing and frankly for the high price of the unit, it makes not sense. You would think that this player would be calibrated to play all record sizes, especially since it plays 3 speeds. It's such a shame as it does produce wonderful sound. I will have to return it asap. What a let down. ... show more

We were going through my grandma's attic and came across a massive amount of old records but no way to play them. I was looking for one that wasn't overly bulky and would fit with out home decor. She was so exciting to be able to listen to her old records again that she had forgotten completely about. It brought back some great memories for her. The finish is lovely, almost like a beautiful natural bamboo color and looks great on our entertainment center. It's pretty low profile so it can fit anywhere. The sound is clear and extremely loud. I didn't really care to much about the fact that it was Bluetooth originally but actually use it all the time. The Bluetooth was able to be set up and connected easy peasy in a few seconds. We usually listen to music on our Echo Dot but now we use this. The volume is waaayyyy better. Very happy with my purchase. ... show more

It has the beautiful wood/vintage look that I have been wanting AND it is Bluetooth capable so I can play music from my phone through the speakers. No issues connecting to it from all around my home. I have owned several turntables - old and new - and none of them have been user friendly. I am not picky - I just want the thing to work, sound good, and look good with little hassle and this is IT!! ... show more

I bought this for my friend's new office. It was perfect because it doesn't need anything else and works out of the box unless other vinyl players. The sound quality is great and it can get pretty loud. The pin is audio technica which is in of the best I presume. You can use your own speakers in this as well. It looks expensive and plays all sorts of vinyls with different recorded speeds. Make sure to put the belt on the motor which is under the heavy plate. ... show more

First up ... I am going to be upfront ... I had quite an adventure with this stereo. The original stereo I received was defective. But you know ... this happens. What counts ... customer service. And after some diligent correspondence... success. The company shipped at their cost a new system and it has NOT disappointed. The beauty of the design is nice to have on display. The first deal breaker for me was that I searched for "bluetooth turntable" because I wanted a turntable I could play through wireless bluetooth speakers. This came up, and admittedly I should have read the fine print, but it DOES NOT TRANSMIT to Bluetooth speakers. It's a Bluetooth receiver so you can play other bluetooth transmitting devices like your phone through this turntable's speakers, which are only ok in sound quality. The second deal-breaker was that it slowed down after a week or so. Checked the belt and it was ok. Eventually I had to play 33 rpm records on 45 and lower the pitch to get them to sound right. Not sure what the problem was but not having a cover could be part of the issue - maybe dust and pet hair got in there? In looking for a replacement I've decided that while there are all these sexy turntables with no cover, a cover is a really useful thing. Without it, your records are going to get dusty, especially if you have pets, and then you're going to have to spend a bunch of time cleaning your records. ... show more
