Nice chair. My power chair had started messing up. So I ordered this for easier hauling. Much better than my other manual chair. And this one was cheaper. Was glad it was shipped faster than it said.

  • Undecided
Color: Orange
Overall I like this wheelchair. It was purchased for my disabled sister who loves the color (orange) more than anything. However, we did not realize both the footrests and arm rests are plastic which is a huge downer. My sister has trouble using the right side of her body and has a tendency to use the footrests to adjust herself once seated. We will have to be diligent about this as I can see these breaking very quickly. I’d rather the chair be heavier and the footrests metal, with only a 30 day warranty we shall see. ... show more

  • Quick-release wheels and dual brakes — the most capable chair we have had at this price
We have experience with many wheelchairs over the years, and this one sits right at the top for manageable weight, compact transport size, and adjustability. There are already a number of good reviews posted, so I have gone heavier on photos and specifics. First, a word about the listing itself. The details and information are accurate. I could not detect any artificial fluff or misinformation, which is worth saying because it is not always the case in this category. The single most important feature for convenient transport is the quick-release wheels. One press of the button in the hub and the wheel slides straight off — no tools, no fuss. That reduces the packed volume of the chair dramatically. The wheels are very light and go back on just as easily. If you are loading a chair into a car regularly, this is the feature that will matter most to you day to day. I want to give the manufacturer credit for accurately specifying and illustrating the seat width at 17.7 inches. That is one of the most critical dimensions for a wheelchair user to get right. Some people need a 20-inch seat and this chair simply will not work for them — but the listing makes that clear rather than leaving you to find out on delivery. On safety, the dual brake arrangement is a genuine differentiator. There are the usual lever-actuated locks bearing against the tires, which the person in the chair can reach. Just as importantly, there are caregiver-operated hand brakes at the rear push handles. A lot of chairs do not have this, and if you are the one pushing, it matters. The adjustability is comprehensive: armrest height, armrests that fold up and back to allow easier transfers in and out of the chair, adjustable rear push handles, and footrests that both adjust and remove entirely. Some reviewers have complained about the solid tires. I regard them as an advantage. There is no possibility of a puncture or a slow leak, and on a chair like this I will take reliability every time. My one complaint, and it is minor but worth care: the handle of the tire hand-brake sits too close to the tire, which creates an opportunity to pinch your fingers. There is an adjustment that helps somewhat, but the clearance is still tight. Worth being aware of. That is the only fault I could find, which is remarkable on a modestly priced chair. I have seen thousand-dollar chairs that were not as capable or as convenient as this one. Five stars, and I would give it more if that were an option. ... show more

  • Good quality but not comfortable
Color: Pink
Well made with quality materials. The weight claimed is accurate seems to handl well in our home. Have not ventured outdoors yet. Two cons are: 1. the light gray color is not the shade of gray shown on Amazon. It is almost white. 2. My wife does not feel it is very comfortable. The back is not angled to the rear. Very straight up. She does not think she would be comfortable for any extended time period. ... show more

  • Easy to fold away and easy to use
There were a few things that were high on my list of “have to have” and this wheelchair has them all. It folds easily for storage and the wheels come off to make transporting it a breeze. As a senior citizen, even I was able to lift it into the van. I would consider this model one that is used for short periods because it isn’t the most comfortable for long time use. It comes with a cushion for the seat and the back, but there isn’t much cushion to it. There are tipping aids for both sides of the chair to help when using this on uneven terrain. Assembling this chair was so much easier than I expected when I opened the box. It still took a bit, even with picture directions, but it’s not complicated and a little common sense goes a long way. All in all, this is a very good option for a wheelchair that will only be temporary or have limited use. ... show more

  • After Helping My Grandmother for Months, I Know a Good Wheelchair When I See One
If I could give this 10 stars, I would. After spending the last six months helping my grandmother through appointments, treatments, and long days in and out of wheelchairs, I unexpectedly learned a lot about what makes a wheelchair actually comfortable and practical. So when I had the opportunity to test this one out, especially something designed to move smoother and faster than the standard transport chairs I had been using, I was genuinely excited to try it. First thing to know is that when you unpack it, everything is tied securely to the chair. Once you cut those plastic ties, the wheels will immediately fall to the sides, so just be careful they do not land on your foot. Even though the package includes an Allen wrench and a small wrench, I never actually needed tools during assembly. I assume they include them for future tightening or maintenance over time. Assembly itself was straightforward. The large wheels connect using a black push-button style bolt system that slides directly through the wheel into the chair frame on both sides. The footrests simply pop down into place. I also liked how adjustable the chair is. Both the push handles and armrests can be raised or lowered by loosening a knob, adjusting the height through several preset notches, and tightening it back down. The chair also comes with a padded seat cushion. It is not overly thick, but definitely adds comfort during longer sitting periods. Installing it takes a minute because one of the securing straps runs vertically through the center instead of horizontally, so you will need to undo some of the Velcro sections first, but once you look at it, the setup makes sense. What impressed me most was how smoothly this wheelchair moves. The wheels rolled effortlessly across different surfaces and it felt far easier to maneuver than many basic transport chairs I have dealt with recently. This is not a tiny compact chair, though. It is clearly built to comfortably fit a wide range of body sizes, which honestly matters more in real life than shaving off a few pounds of weight. It includes a seatbelt and additional leg straps to help keep feet secure on the footrests, which I appreciated. Now, if you are petite like I am at 5’1” and around 115 pounds, this will probably feel larger than some lightweight travel chairs on the market. But personally, after spending so much time in medical offices and cancer centers recently, comfort and adjustability matter far more to me than having the absolute smallest chair possible. I drive an SUV, so lifting it into the trunk was manageable. For storage, the backrest folds down using side knobs that release the back portion, then you pull upward from the center to collapse the chair. You do not have to remove the footrests first, although doing so will make it take up less space. Overall, knowing what I know now after months of helping someone rely on a wheelchair daily, I think this is a fantastic option. It feels comfortable, secure, smooth to maneuver, adjustable for real-world use during long appointments, hospital visits, and everyday needs. ... show more

  • Quality chair with some flaws.
Color: Orange
Well built chair. Folds and disassmbles relatively easily. Good value for the money. Arms make pushing up out of chair relatively easy. Drive wheels are solid but not grippy enough on smooth floors. Limited traction. Tip-up assist pedals are helpful for raising front wheels over small obstacles but are at the expense of safety guards to keep the chair from tipping to far backwards and flipping over. The assist should be modified to include both f9eatures. ... show more
