  • These things are awesome!!! O,O
These are great batteries and the four of them come together to create a military grade 6.8 kilowatt hour battery bank!!! @_@ A Tesla Power Pack can't survive temperatures below 50 or above 90 without damage and has to be mounted inside the residence. These can go survive going down below freezing or up over 110 degrees without so much as hiccuping!!! Plus they have the same 8 - 10 year warranty and a combined 6.8 kilowatt hour capacity, for under $1,200 V.S. Teslas 7.0 kilowatt hour capacity for $3,500+. @_@ What's more they use military grade plates on all their solar batteries so they won't have any gel issues around their plates if they're not regularly Deep Cycled and Equalized. Which is huge when you may only be discharging your system down to 80% intentionally once a month. On a normal Deep Cell like the ones used in forklifts and industrial equipment. One temperature change 25 degrees above or below 65 can destroy a $5,000 battery. Or if there cells aren't equalized every night by a machine that discharges and recharges them. They'll develop gel around the plates in their acid solution preventing a proper reaction when charged or discharged. Essentially the death of the battery again even if kept at perfect temperature. If your familiar with high performance batteries in RCs, Airsoft Guns or Solar Systems you know how important proper maintenance is or how quickly they can die if not cared for. These have military grade plates that have made Vmaxtanks famous in the solar industry for over a decade. Though Tesla has some really cool power packs, they're nowhere near as time tested or tough as these. I've had Duracell batteries that are almost a decade old running $1,500+ dollar Nitro RCs and I won't chance anything else in my receiver packs. To that end I feel the same way about time tested consistency in my solar system. I've got a 14 kilowatt set of "Solar World" panels going through a fully programmable data-logging "MidNight Solar" charge controller that's the most powerful unit in the country. So the only thing left is the batteries and these are the best solar batteries for an outdoor in ground install available. They're all military grade and will be on 2x4 shelves side by side stacked 3 layers tall in 50 gallon band clamped drums. That are buried up to their lids in the center of a 2 foot tall cylinder block hatch to give them a consistent temp geo-heated home that is safe dry and secure. So putting 8 of these in two 50 gallon drums and knowing they're time tested and the best on the market for less than a 3rd of what a 14 kilowatt Tesla system would cost is awesome!!! ^_^ ... show more

  • Best quality and bang for buck for what I’ve found
These batteries are the most bang for your buck in my research. I’ve owned mine for over a year and they hold the same charge today (12.9v at rest) as they did when I purchased them in late 2021. I power my entire cabin on 8 batteries and I typically deplete them to 12.2-12.5v overnight. They fully charge in full sun by 11 am (Hey recharge quick as I’m on the Northern AZ border in the mountains at 7300’ elevation). I’m currently getting ready to power my greenhouse fans and lighting on 4 more of these. I’m hoping to get 8-10 years out of them, but if you read the specs, typically with my depletion and recharge cycles, the manufacturer anticipates 5 years before loss of charge starts to occur. ... show more

  • Update
Bought these for solar in 2015. 8 years later , Pros. Sealed battery and no gassing Cons Old technology, short lifespan compared to 2023 lipo4 batteries. Cost as much as lifepo4 batteries.

  • Shipped very well packed and with a good charge.
I topped these off and installed them in a 48v inverter/charger system acting as a UPS for the critical mechanical in my house (Magnum 4448PAE). So far so good.

  • Great buy
Love these batteries. I got 4 and they power my Tiny House for 4-5 days on cloudy days. Onky thing I don’t like is the weight, 300 lbs for all 4
