The system worked well for 5 months, then compressor/pump caught on fire and completely burned up. Half Off Ponds (seller) claims this was due to electrical supplying the pump, but everything was installed by a licensed electrician. This was a failure of the pump and safety features within. I have had this all reviewed by the electrician. Half Off Ponds is not honoring the warranty on the pump. Very disappointed and dissatisfied. There was another review with a fire as well.     • Both pumps died over 6 months to 2 year period of time

Not sure about the value of these pumps for the cost paid. One died in 6 months replaced though warranty after having to send it to the manufacturer with my own shipping costs. The second one died just shy off 2 years. I am in the process of trying to contact the manufacturer regarding warranty!!
