I asked way more of this chipper than it was meant for, and it did the job well. I chipped branches for 5 dropped trees. It did take awhile, and there was a learning curb, but this thing blew away expectations. I ran it on a Pecron 2400 power station without any issues. I ran into 3 small issues that were easy to work around. If you run the maximum size branch through it, you have to pull up while feeding, the machine is really good at auto feeding a branch, but it does not do well with 1.7" branches, you just have to feed it slowly. Also, pine branches with greenery, need to be pushed through slowly. The last issue was blades, it does burn up blades somewhat quickly, but they did send two sets (4 uses). Continuous use burned up a blade in about 2 hours. I'm really happy with this purchase, I have 10 large maples, a red oak and 8 pines in my yards, this thing will be useful every year.

I am using this to mulch up tree branches that are about as thick as a ping pong ball and as long as 8 feet. It works well but if the limbs have branches coming out to the side you may have to cut them off or break them if they do not easily bend. Sometimes I css as n just twist the branch and it will go through without cutting off the sides

This product has some good stuff going for it, but overall has a number of unfortunate problems that make it hard to recommend. First, the assembly is easy and is reasonable to move around. The final product - wood chips - are very nicely sized. Changing the blades is pretty easy, though it'd have been nice if the proper allen wrench were included in their kit if extras. When it works it works pretty quickly. It may be durable , but it's hard to tell right now. That's about all the perks. By far the biggest issue is the design of the exit chute and the included catch bag. There is so much air blowing out the exit that if you just have the bag sitting there, even with the loops handles on the little attachment hooks, all your wood chips just blow all over the place. It also has a serious tend to blow back up at you. You have to do a lot of clever tricks to try and get it just perfect and it still blows chips everywhere of collapses the bag. It's terrible. I started using a 5 gallon bucket and then wrapping mesh around any openings. It's still pretty ridiculous. The second biggest grip is the handheld pusher thing that your use to push branches into the hopper. It's skinny and so getting it on top of the stick and pushing while it's bouncing around is tedious. Inend up using the flat more often than the end. Finally, the blades just don't seem to last that long - maybe 10 gallons of chips before its struggling. That's about 20-30 minutes of use if you arent fumbling with the bag. It's a good idea, and it has helped, but it's a bit fiddly.

Product failed after 3 uses. I was very gentle with it and only used very dry branches. The rotating mechanism that holds the blades is wobbly resulting in the blades hitting the metal guard so I am unable to use it.

I purchased this chipper specifically for fall cleanup in our backyard as we get a lot of dropped branches from our oak trees, and I put it straight to work when it arrives today. The setup was quite easy, really only took a moment or two. Seeing that there is an included replacement set of blades and a set of bushings is a very appreciated inclusion. A lot of electric shredders don't bother with these replacement parts and expect you to buy them later on. So far it easily handled everything I've put to it. Including a couple of branches about an inch and a half thick that's barely cleared the opening. Do keep in mind like any chipper/shredder it's going to be loud. The sticker on the outside says it's just over 100 db, and that's well under the typical safety cut off, but I still chose to wear hearing protection. The included gloves and eyeguards are definitely important as well. You never know when a little chunk of something make him fly in your way. Last but not least, the included bag is more handy than I thought it was going to be. It hooks directly onto the sides of the shredder so it's not blow away. It really collected everything very cleanly, there was hardly anything that got blown out. I'm very happy with this shredder, it's going to make my yard cleanup significantly easier and go out in less bins.

I am so glad I bought this. The first day we used it for 2 hours without a hiccup. I chewed through branches and the chip sixmze is perfect. We bought it to compost for our garden.

Good shredder, mulch maker for the price. Easy setup, good instructions. Safe and easy to open and clean. It does need sweeping debris clear of mechanism regularly during use.
