The media could not be loaded. I purchased this chipper specifically for fall cleanup in our backyard as we get a lot of dropped branches from our oak trees, and I put it straight to work when it arrives today. The setup was quite easy, really only took a moment or two. Seeing that there is an included replacement set of blades and a set of bushings is a very appreciated inclusion. A lot of electric shredders don't bother with these replacement parts and expect you to buy them later on. So far it easily handled everything I've put to it. Including a couple of branches about an inch and a half thick that's barely cleared the opening. Do keep in mind like any chipper/shredder it's going to be loud. The sticker on the outside says it's just over 100 db, and that's well under the typical safety cut off, but I still chose to wear hearing protection. The included gloves and eyeguards are definitely important as well. You never know when a little chunk of something make him fly in your way. Last but not least, the included bag is more handy than I thought it was going to be. It hooks directly onto the sides of the shredder so it's not blow away. It really collected everything very cleanly, there was hardly anything that got blown out. I'm very happy with this shredder, it's going to make my yard cleanup significantly easier and go out in less bins. ... show more

    • Very good machine
This is a very nice little wood chipper. It works great and eats effortlessly through fallen branches, leaves and garden waste making for a great mulch for my garden. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a wood chipper/ mulcher.

    • Great for limbs, not for leaves
Very happy with this purchase. I have (2) other units. The 1st one the plastic casing broke, and the motor jams. A lot. The other one I haven't used much. This unit has a great design feature whereas if you get a jam (which I found hard to do), it is easy to open (safety first ... will not turn the blade with the cover open!) and resolve. I've seen several other units that implemented the same "angled" method of putting the blade at about 45 degrees. I tried using this with leaves ... that was a basic no go. Yes, you can do it ... was just frustrating. Oddly, the 1st unit mentioned does well with leaves. As I purchased this to address trimmings that are limbs or shots that have leaves attached. And for that? It's wonderful. I should also note that I didn't blow the circuit one time, which I've done plenty of other times with the other two units. Soon, those will be on Facebook Marketplace or Craig's list for a new owner to deal with the hassles I don't have time for, now that I have this unit. ... show more

    • Jams and stops working
This thing can handle maybe the leaves of one small tree a year. Anything more than that and this thing won’t work. Will not do palm tree branches. Just clogs all the time

This is perfect for someone as they get older to help them during the fall and winter with maintaining their yard. My husband put it together in 10 minutes and has it set up in the yard while he walks around and grabs small branches and leaves. It keeps him lightly active as he is recovering from illness. I was looking for a small, manageable chipper when I came across this one; it was a reasonable price, so I decided to try it. I liked that it came with goggles, gloves, and extra blades. It was easy to assemble, and it got the job done nicely. It is loud, so I will wear eye, mouth, and ear protection when using it again.     • Surprisingly effective!
I live in a high desert region with various scrub bushes in my yard that I periodically trim. Because the branches grow in all sorts of directions, they take up an inordinate amount of space when disposing of them. This chipper worked great to reduce a big pile of brush into a kitchen garbage bag full of mulch. I didn't put anything through it larger than about 1" diameter and it handled that fine, although it does take a few seconds and the motor bogs down a little. For my purposes, I would like the intake to be a little larger to accommodate the irregular shaped brush, but this is a compact unit so one can't expect this. Mine hasn't jammed yet, but I like the fact that it opens up very easily and it is very simple to clear a jam. My neighbors probably didn't enjoy the half-hour of noise, but I used hearing protection. In this size and price range I'm not expecting something for heavy-duty branch clearing, and this chipper works well for me. ... show more
