This canopy is a solid product overall, especially for the price—but it’s not quite what I needed, so I want to share my experience and tips to help others decide if it’s right for them. SETUP EXPERIENCE: Assembly was fairly straightforward once I figured out the trick, but as someone who had never used a pop-up canopy before, it took me longer than expected. Here are some tips I wish I’d known: Unpack on a flat surface and unfold the frame slowly with a second person—it helps avoid pinching or bending. Don’t attach the canopy fabric too early—extend the legs and lock them first, then secure the top. Use the roller bag as a weight if the ground is uneven or windy while setting up. STAKING IS A MUST: We made the rookie mistake of leaving it unattended for a few minutes without anchoring it—and it ended up in a tree. Definitely use the stakes or sandbags (not included) to secure it immediately, even if there’s only a light breeze. Trust me. MOSQUITO NETTING: This was the main reason I bought it, and unfortunately, it didn’t meet my expectations. While it keeps out mosquitoes and most flying insects, it’s not designed to keep out spiders. I have a serious fear of them, and I found multiple spiders inside the netting after leaving it zipped overnight. If you're arachnophobic or want a fully sealed space, go for a cube-style camping shelter with a zippered floor attachment. This tent is fine for social events but not ideal for overnight use in spider-prone areas. THE GOOD STUFF: Looks great in a yard or at a campsite—simple and clean white design. Provides good shade and airflow, even with the mesh zipped up. Folds down nicely and fits in the roller bag for easy transport. FINAL THOUGHTS: If you need a bug-free zone for daytime use—picnics, backyard hangs, or casual camping—this works well. But if your idea of “bug-free” includes no spiders, you’ll want to look for something more sealed. Still, I think this is a good buy for most people, just not a spider-proof solution.

Perfect size for small patio (10x10). Covers the sun but it’s still very clear below. Waterproof. It was a bit of a struggle to setup, you definitely need 2 people, 3 even better. I love the color in my patio and the contrast with the green. So far we have had a few heavy rains and no problem with it. It gives me a place of shadow and solace outside the air conditioning of every day life in Florida. I am happy with this purchase.

Multiple tears in the canopy straight out of the box. Stitching is very lightweight and minimal. 2 of the Velcro straps that are sewn into the canopy pulled off by simply wrapping it around the frame per the instructions. This won't last long at all exposed to the elements or a light breeze.

The tent came in good condition and was ok for the summer months. When winter hit, the pressure points where the frame meets the tent canopy quickly wore down and tore so rain water leaked into the area that should stay dry. This happened in many areas of the tent where the frame joints are next to the canopy. The canopy material is too cheap and did not last through the California wind and rains. I will look for a sturdier made tent. The purpose of the tent was to cover the patio table for a shady space and protect from rain. It definitely needs to be sand-bagged down because the whole thing blew over in the wind and landed in the lemon tree that punched a huge hole through the top of the tent too. By myself I righted the tent and that bent the aluminum legs to where the up down feature for raising or lowering it could not be used. Lessons learned!
