This is a very sturdy burner with good flame control. The flame is not overpoweringly dangerous, but puts out ample heat for cooking in a skillet. You may want to consider purchasing a more flexible hose if you are going to be moving it around such as when camping. Great stove nice looking. Flame is very weak. Did not expect a”wok” type burner. Used as a side burner when BBQ but worried wind could blow out. Valve is good and adjustable for simmering. Works as a charcoal lighter which was primary purpose.

    • Gift to my preacher's wife.
She says you can't really hike with it (and a 20 lbs propane bottle) unless you bring your mule or an elephant but, it is great in camp over a fireproof mat on a picnic table. Cooking on even, powerful heat like this stove produces greatly cuts down cooking time and fuel consumption. She say she grills over it because virtually no clean up is necessary and that eliminates having to bring a grill, charcoal, etc or use the questionably heathy campground grills. ... show more
