We bought two of these bikes for my husband and I to ride around the neighborhood or take while we're camping. The shipment was excellent as they arrived earlier than expected (shipment was from NJ or somewhere in the NE) and the boxes were intact with no damage. Husband assembled both bikes and said, for the most part, the instructions were pretty clear and he was able to figure out the confusing parts. The bike is sturdy and heavy, around 60 lbs. It's foldable and folds at the frame, but the handle and pedals don't fold and the bike is still bulky and heavy when trying to insert the folded bike into the cargo area of a hatchback car. We ended up having a hitch installed on one of our cars and purchasing a sturdy bike rack (from Amazon) that would carry at least 120 lbs. in order to transport these bikes whenever we wanted to take them to the greenways in our city. The battery is large and heavy, but there is a bag that carries it at the handlebar so it's easily removable to bring the battery into the house to charge it. There are 2 cords leading out of the battery, one to charge it and another to connect it to the bike. You have to thread the connection cord through the small hole at the bottom of the bag in order to connect it to the bike wiring, and that is a bit of a headache to work it through the hole. The controller to activate the pedal assist works pretty well while cycling. It activates within 2 seconds of holding down the on/off switch and you can feel it kick in to propel you forward. I usually turn it off when I am going through tight spaces like a small, narrow bridge or lane to stay in control of the bike, but definitely use the pedal assist feature on incline and hills. We have hilly terrain in our subdivision and some streets require me to use the medium setting to get to the top of the hill, and it does it quite easily. The low setting is usually enough for me to get around. I haven't needed to use the high setting because so far the med setting gets me up the steeper streets. There is a throttle on the right side of the handlebar that allows you to use the pedal assist feature continuously without pedaling but I haven't needed to use it often. I definitely love the pedal assist feature to get up those hilly streets! We had to switch the seats to wider seats because the one that comes with the bike is very narrow and uncomfortable. We also got sturdier and louder bells as the one that came with the bike is lousy and has a puny sound. We added bottle holders easily to the bike frame since there were 2 screws for that purpose already on the frame. I do wish they would have included mirrors to help when we're maneuvering and turning on the street. That's something else we'll have to buy. Also, there is no speedometer but I found an app for my phone to help monitor my speed and distance. The fenders are kind of flimsy but they work. At my height of 5'3", the height of the bike is okay and I can easily stand on the balls of my feet when the bike is stopped, but I end up hitting and kicking the back fender regularly when getting on the bike, and I have to straighten it up. We're really happy with these bikes and so far haven't had any major issues (knock on wood.) We especially love the lower cost for this electric bike and that it looks good, works very well, and has a year warranty.

Surprisingly solid little E-Bike. We've put some miles on it now and I'm amazed that this little budget ebike worked out. Folding works as described and the lock has been solid. Mileage as advertised and it's a reliable little rear-hub ebike. My wife rides this one almost every day as a city commuter. The fenders are welcome if a little cheesy. The headlight was very strange - cable to short to work with the provided bracket causes it to come unplugged when the wheel is turned too far. That's pretty minor to me and I've put up with a lot worse from bigger brands. It's on a super long support that makes it somewhat bouncy. I plan to replace with a shorter mount to fix that. Has handled a few thunderstorms with grace. If you are looking for a good entry level ebike, I'd recommend these folks.

1st Review: The bike itself functions fine. However the charger was bad upon arrival. Never did get a working charger with it. Fortunately I have another Ebike that uses this charger. However I still need one for THIS bike! The charger I paid for with the bike will suffice. If you don't have an extra charger, this bike will be worthless once you run the battery down. They answered my questions, yet never sent a new charger. They asked me to make a video of a charger that does Nothing. So the video will show, guess what? Nothing! Then Amazon says the video is too big so I text the video to myself to make it smaller. Now Amazon won't accept the video Format! The whole process seems designed to prevent you from getting a reasonable replacement. Am happy with the bike and am happy that nothing else is wrong, because it is extremely unlikely you will get it working with the very poor support. Will revise if they decide to take care of their customer. 2nd review: 5 stars. Vivi contacted me afterwards , & agreed to send me a new charger. They followed through as promised! Am happy with the bike & now the service. : )

I've owned this bike for a little over a year and am quite pleased with the purchase following several hundred miles of use. It is not perfect but I have to consider what I paid for the bike. The assembly process was really quite easy and I only had to reference the manual once or twice. I was initially concerned about the weight of this bike (it is noticeably heavier than my other bikes) but I found that the pedal effort was on par with my lighter aluminum mountain bike. I ride on rail trails most of the time and I find this bike to be comfortable and smooth, and the shifting is also smooth. I don't think this bike would hold up well to true mountain biking but that is just my opinion (the front suspension is on the soft side). Like many other owners of this bike, I replaced the seat and seat post right from the start. The motor assist takes a little to get used to but now I love this feature and the ability to adjust the level of assist based on how much energy I want to exert. I don't use all that much motor assist so the battery capacity is plenty for what I need. For a long range ride with constant assist you will likely need to upgrade to a larger battery or carry a second battery. No issues yet with battery charging or any of the motor controls. The gear ratios are on par with my mountain bike so it really isn't suited for higher speeds. I generally always use the highest gear ratio so I do wish it was geared more for touring so there was a little more top end speed potential. With the front/back disc brakes there is plenty of stopping power but the braking is not as smooth as it is with my higher end mountain bike. The folding frame feature is nice and allows me to load this into the back of my Volt if I don't want to use my bike rack, but keep in mind this bike is heavy. All-in-all I consider this bike to be a very good value for the price and I have zero regrets.
