It has worked well for me so far, but I do feel a little sketched out by the brakes sometimes. The mechanical brake calipers leave some to be desired, even when adjusted fully out there is a very small gap that the disc has to fit though, combined with the fact that the wheels aren't entirely spinning true causes the discs to rub a lot if you don't have the brakes adjusted all the way open. This results in mediocre and uneven braking performance. It is manageable, you just have to think ahead if you really want to go flying down the road on this thing. It wouldn't be much of an issue on a regular bike but at higher speeds it is less than ideal. Other than the above, the build quality is great for the price point, and the battery life is acceptable for what it is. Assembly was pretty easy. I like the built-in headlight. Didn't have an issue with the directions personally, you get a full color manual with pictures along with the instructions. Some poor english sometimes but you can figure it out with context clues. Where this bike excels is keeping the pedal assist set to "low" and just letting it help you accelerate from a stop or climb hills without having to shift down as often. On low, the assistance turns off at like 5mph or so allowing you to cruise under your own power and keep your battery going longer. There is somewhat of a delay before the assistance turns on and off when you stop/start pedaling, making it feel a little poorly controlled at low speeds on "high" setting. I recommend leaving it on a lower setting if you need to start and stop frequently where you ride. All considered, this is probably the best e-bike you are going to find in this price range and even with the sub-optimal brakes I still recommend this bike and feel safe using it. ... show more

Worth the money has great torque and works well for climbing steep terrain on mountain biking trail trails. Also has a nice top and speed for road or sidewalk use. Battery longevity works pretty darn well length of rides without issue on average 10 miles at top speed still have enough left in the battery to make it 85% of the way home. At top speed. If I were to go pedal assist for I would be able to make a round-trip no issues. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Can't beat the price for this bike. So far so good, some of the parts could be better quality especially the tires but overall pedals great with motor assist or has good power to get you around. Yes you can spend 3-15 for a top of the line e-bike but thats just ridiculous. Save the money on expert assembly, took about an hour or so to put together if you have any kind of mechanical skill. Manuel is horrible but there are some good vids on youtube for this bike. Its not that hard to figure out. ... show more

It’s a great bike overall for the price. It gets up and down hills great and generally feels solid. I am really enjoying it! Gripe #1: The kickstand is woefully misplaced. It’s situated just behind the left pedal and collides with my shoe on every revolution without employing an unnatural foot positioning. (The workaround was to remove it, but now I have no kickstand!) Gripe #2: Aside from that, the fenders are a poorly engineered afterthought. They’re wobbly and very cheap in quality. Mismatched compared the the rest of the unit. I plan to upgrade them which seems fairly painless. 1st Month Update: It squeaks and clicks but the unit still delivers overall. The power adapter gets HOT. I’d recommend charging in an air conditioned place near a smoke detector. 2nd Month Update: I’ve surpassed the 100 mile point! Okay, that’s not really that far but everything is generally holding together. I’ve had a minor annoyance with my left pedal popping on every revolution. Vivi support was helpful and quick to resolve with a new set which solved the issue. I’m also in the process of upgrading the crank-side gears since they’re a little short for my preferences — I’m preparing for an 80-mile ride next month which should help prove it’s reliability. ... show more

We had so much fun riding the first one that we ordered another one. Live in a small town that has a lot of hills and this bike tackles them with no problem. The build quality of the bike is pretty solid which makes it easy to ride in straight pedal mode.

This seller is from China hiding behind a NJ shipping address, they are impossible to deal with! RUN burn your money it is more satisfying, read on Unfortunately for me or anyone that purchases this bike the description is completely inaccurate! This bike has a 17" frame and 27.5" tires, it is universally accepted that a bike with this size frame is designed for riders that are a minimum of 5'10 and taller. I went to a local bike shop and they explained these characteristics to me and that the description of a 17" frame is not acceptable for the height ranges they described. The description says men 5'4, Im 5'6 and I can not stand over the bike without being on my tip toes and I still am uncomfortably touching on the bar, their description saying that 5'4 can straddle this bike couldnt be further from accurate, this is clearly why they say the bikes can not be returned. Overall it is well made and worth the money, but DO NOT BUY THIS BIKE UNLESS YOU ARE A MINIMUM OF 5'10 OR TALLER REGARDLESS OF YOUR SEX BECAUSE YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO COMFORTABLY RIDE THIS BIKE AS THEY ARE DESIGNED TO COMFORTABLY FIT YOU, THIS IS A SAD REVALATION AS i AM DISABLED AND PURCHASED THIS BIKE TO REHAB MYSELF AND IT IS A USELESS WASTE OF MY MONEY.
