Assembly was pretty straight forward; mount front wheel, turn steering stem forward, mount handle bars, mount seat, fenders, light, rack, pedals, etc. Included tools are okay for assembly, but I recommend getting a (stubby) 22mm combination wrench in case the rear axle ever needs removal. My question about what to do with washers on the front axle was answered by Vivi saying they go on the outside of the front fork rather than inside. This is a BIG bike so the rack on the back is also big! I did raise the handle bars with a steer tube extension and shorter stem with higher degree rise because I prefer a more upright riding position. I will also be changing seat and post to more cushioned versions as the stock seat is a bit too hard for me. I also added a small battery powered tail light on the seat post that I can reach while riding. The bike rides very similar to my mid drive mountain bike primarily because of the torque sensor which provides almost instant power when you pedal, even on an upgrade start. I also like the throttle on this bike for quick starts at intersections when beating traffic is an issue, but it’s location on the right grip takes some getting use to when making tight turns on singletrack trails. Speaking of turns, this bike has oversteer that also takes some getting use to; when making a turn, it wants to keep turning more. But easy to deal with once use to it. And while the thumb shifter is different from levers I’m use to, they also work fine once use to, and my gears shift accurately out of the box. I did remove the protective bar covering the derailleur so it wouldn’t catch on stuff. The hydraulic brakes are very welcome on a big bike this heavy! Tires give adequate grip on most surfaces, except ice which most tires have difficulty with(need studs for that). This ebike has a very strong motor and it climbs steep hills very well. I tried it on a couple 100 meter hills I would call 30 degrees, and in assist level 5 and lowest gear it took some effort but got up them alright. It will also go pretty fast if getting home quickly from the trailhead is necessary. For the price, this is a great deal for a quality ebike that has decent performance. Highly recommend!

Just rode it for its first mile. I’m 6 ft 1 and I weigh over 300 pounds. I’ll update this after I ride it for a few more miles. Packing and shipping wise I give 5/5. The bike assembly itself takes about as long as undoing all the packaging. Putting it together was simple, instructions are easy to follow. So far for riding I have to say this bike is pretty impressive. Given that I am size wise on the very upper end of its limits I am blown away I am easily able to get to over 20mph and it powers up hills with ease. I bought this to be able to bike with my son and keep up with him and we are already having fun racing up and down the hills in our neighborhood. I’ll come back to update this after 50 or so miles. Update: 50 miles in, still running strong. Once you unlock it if you’re within the max weight capacity it will always get up to 25 mph on a flat area. You can feel it has more power and will ease off once it hits 25 mph. Range wise it does not do whatever they claim 40 miles per charge is only gonna happen if you keep it on modes 1-2 (out of 5) with some no pedal assist. You might get closer to 40 in modes 4-5 at a slow speed but I doubt it and it’s hard to not twist that throttle and let her rip when you’re in those modes. However, I suspect on newerish batteries you can get about 15-20 miles per charge going as fast as possible on mode 5, so anything after that is up to you to pedal. This bike is not one of those $2k-$3k dual motor bikes you can take in loose sand but it’ll handle hard packed sand no problem. If you’re looking for something with a 40+ mile range you can take on loose sand this isn’t the bike. But, if you’re looking for sub 40 mile range, affordable, sturdy, and can at least do some beach sand and can cruise at 25 mph on flat roads this is definitely an affordable choice.

To Simply put it this bike exceeds All my expectations. Not only is it cost-effective but in a time where we have inflation everywhere. But the fact that the power and stability of this bike is amazing. I bought this bike to be able to go out back in the woods and mountain bike like I used to. This gave me the freedom to do so. The battery range is excellent I have put 60 plus miles on it and only had it charge it twice. Simply because I live in a very hilly area and the throttle assist was very convenient. The throttle is very responsive along with the pedal assist. I was quite surprised to see how easy it was to climb Hills at steep grades. Overall the functionality weight and comfort of this bike puts it in a class of its own. Overall I would have to say this is a very well built bike and a great e-bike for those looking to get one.

My intended use for this bike is a mostly, gravel and offroad with some onroad used. I have put about 70 miles on the bike and so far it seems good. My son had the front tire go flat at mile 4. I think he may have hit a tire or nail. Slime fixed the leak. I had the tires at 20psi. I have backed them off to 12.5psi and the bike seems to like that a lot better. The bike's build seems reasonably good. It is a budget bike so - I can't reasonably expect a top quality American made bike. The pedal assist is incredibly responsive, and the bike has a lot of power. I haven't seriously tested the bike's range but 40 miles can be achieved fairly easily. I may update this review at the 500 mile mark, after I have used it in snow. Until then I am pleased with my purchase.

I’ve had my Vivi ACE01 for about two months now and I’m close to hitting 500 miles. Overall, this bike has been a great purchase with only a few things to note. What’s working well Excellent range: On pedal assist level 1, I reliably get around 60 miles per charge, usually finishing with about 20% battery still left. That’s plenty for long rides and commutes. Torque sensor is a game-changer: The pedal assist feels natural and responsive — no laggy or jerky starts. It really makes riding smoother and more enjoyable compared to cadence-only systems. Solid build and performance: The motor, battery, and brakes all perform as advertised, giving me confidence on roads and trails. Good value: With its power, range, hydraulic brakes, and torque sensor, the ACE01 gives you a lot of bike for the money. What could be better The seat is awful: The stock saddle is uncomfortable, especially on longer rides. I replaced mine with a Cloud 9 seat, and it completely transformed the comfort level. I’d call that an essential upgrade. Shipping issue: My bike arrived with the derailleur bent inwards, even with the guard. It’s fixable, but definitely something to check right out of the box. Final verdict This bike delivers excellent range, smooth power thanks to the torque sensor, and solid value. Just be prepared to swap the seat right away, and double-check the drivetrain on arrival. With those tweaks, the Vivi ACE01 is an excellent fat-tire e-bike that I’d easily recommend.
