I have three umbilical hernia belts, this one feels soft against your skin and has three different sized silicone pads that can be used with the belt. It provides good support and should be comfortable to wear. It is easier to put on that one of my other belts, but still not as easy as it could be. I like the fact the belt is made to be put on as worn and not turned around after putting it on, but getting the velcro hook side in place squarely, so it is not contacting skin is a bit tougher than it should be. If the end were rounded, instead of square, this belt could be a winner.

Hello there, nice to meet you! ;o) I just endured a very invasive abdominal surgery a few days ago, and I was recommended to have an abdominal binder to assist with my post op healing. Like most patients, I like to be prepared for when I get home, to aid my recovery. A quick search on Amazon revealed this particular abdominal binder with silicone compression pads to help things along, so I ordered this on the spot. Needless to say, this helpful item arrived just prior to me going to the hospital for the surgery... talk about great timing! This abdominal 'belt' or binder, has many good features, like loops in strategic places to help you wrap this around yourself more easily. There's a long tab of velcro/hook and loop to 'grab' onto the other end of this belt for adjustable closure that better fits your figure post surgery. I found I didn't need the silicone pressure disks despite the severity of my surgery, but they are interchangeable and easily made to fit the size of compression to fit your needs. Once you figure out the size you need, assemble the two pieces then slip it into a provided pouch. This jersey-like pouch has a velcro attachment to adhere where you need it inside the belt to apply appropriate pressure to the hernia that needs more support. There's a helpful owner's manual included in the kit that will assist you further. Yet another bonus is the fabric used to create the binder itself, that it does breathe and move with you, a good thing! Some of the other binders I tried tended to roll over on the top portion, but this one actually fit me the best, and with little or no roll over. The size chart is pretty much on the money for the fit. Long story short, this abdominal binder really works for both pre and post surgery, and does what it's supposed to do, namely give you some support and relief while recuperating. What more can you ask for? ;o) Give this affordable Vive Abdominal Binder w/ Compression Pads for Post Surgery Support a try... I had surgery to remove lots of scar tissue around an implanted pump that I have had for many years. I was given a support belt before I left the hospital that actually made my pain worse. I was searching for a better support belt when I came across this one. As soon as I pulled this belt out of the box and looked at it, I knew that it was a much better belt than the one I was given at the hospital. I really like the compression pad that comes with this belt because it allows me to have more compression where I need it. The compression pad can be positioned wherever you need it, and it stays where you put it. The belt also comes with 3 hernia pads that can be used to provide extra compression wherever you need it. I have used all of these pads at different times and they all decreased my pain level quite a bit. The width of the belt was perfect for me. I also like the overall support that I get while wearing this belt. I like that this belt is available in 3 different sizes because you are able to get a much better fitting belt. The "one size fits most" never fits me right and I always have a lot of extra belt that gets in the way of everything I do. This belt has strong elasticity, which I like very much, so you have to pull it pretty hard when you fasten it. My belt has a loop that you can put your hand in while pulling it and fastening it. That loop is a big help. When I put the belt on and fastened it, I was able to feel almost instant relief. I have had no problems with the belt rolling up or down. The belt stays where I want it to the entire time I have it on. This belt has been a game changer for me. I definitely recommend it. Make sure you get the right size!
