This shower chair is very well constructed and is easy to assemble. No tools necessary. I initially bought a different shower chair and it didn’t work for me at all. What makes this chair work so well for me is the arm rests and handle bars that form a kind of cage and provide stability, the foot rests that also provide stability, and the recline feature that is extremely helpful when I’m being lowered into the chair with my lift. My 89 yo mom had a stroke and this works great in giving her a shower. She is 170 lbs and 5’7 very sturdy. I use the transfer board for her to get into the chair and 360 wheels make it easy. She likes that she can sit up while taking a shower and be comfortable. It fits perfect into the walk-in shower .

purchased in early November 2025. The chair seems to be sturdy. It works really good for a patient that bends or falls forward. CONS:-The headrest doesn't hit my mom in a good place but she really doesn't relax enough to even use it... but it could be a bit more adjustable. -and the other thing is the padding on the seat and back is REALLY FIRM. I wish it was more cushy and soft. I had to put a pool noodle over the arm rest for comfort and skin safety. -There are a couple of screw heads that could be a skin tear issue. The cable that controls the recline function has to be adjusted every couple weeks because it won't stay tightened. On the positive side, it works really good. The main issue for us was helping the aid to shower mom. When the patient gets to a certain point, they start just doing bed baths. But we wanted showers. So we bought this because it helps mom stay upright with the reclining feature. So it does what we want...therefore the 4 stars. Also, the casters roll really really smoothly and easily. Almost gets away from you. But I don't suppose there would be any shower chair that would be the perfect thing for us and be semi affordable. With so many patients with so many different specialized needs, you just have to find something that works the best and make your own adjustments (pool noodles :) -Lastly, it will fit in a 5' shower and you can even recline it all the way. The big question is longevity. How long will it last? remains to be seen. Our last shower chair lasted for 3 years. It was a very basic one with no bells or whistles and all unpainted aluminum. The fact that this new chair is "painted" aluminum gives me concern because you can't really see if it is really aluminum or not.

One of the few chairs that has liftable arm rests for improved transfers. It is pretty light and smooth gliding. Fits through narrow bathroom doorways and over the toilet. My only complaints are that using it on a ramp to access shower is a little hard to control, the leg lifts are too short, and that the wheel brakes are quite stiff. Overall pleased with product.

Just what we were looking for. Perfect shower chair. Edit: After using this chair twice, I have to revise the review. My son's feet cant touch the ground so he can't "walk" the chair in and out of the shower; the removable seat cover for the commode won't stay in place and easily falls through the hole; the chair is very unstable and fell over sideways with my son in the chair. We will return this chair.

Quite literally not figuratively one of, if not the single worst purchases I’ve ever made from Amazon. We have used it three times the first time it tipped over to the left the second time it tipped over to the right and the third time the occupant slid out of it and onto the shower floor. Extremely easy to assemble. The size seems fine, but for whatever reason it is very easy to tip over and or slip out of I was strongly and I mean very strongly recommend against purchasing this..
