If you are looking for a heavy duty lock for your trailer ball, look no further. This thing is legitimately heavy duty. I'm not going to say someone couldn't cut it off, but it would require some significant work. It is heavy duty steel. Lock Box is very heavy duty a little tricky to get it all lined up could easily drop on your toes, be careful actual lock seems cheap light weight compared to the rest. This unit does not lock the chains would need to secure those separately with a heavy duty padlock I do how it’s an actual round solid 2 5/16 ball that locks into place as opposed to flat plates like some of the others . This is definitely one monster of a lock, with an impressive 14.7 weight. The weight for me makes it a tad bit awkward, it's a breeze for my husband. The manufacturer does a repeated reminder to make sure that your coupler type and size matches. This FixOasis lock is not only anti-theft but is also anti-drill meaning you better not loose the keys !!! At first the key was a little on the tricky side but afterwards it was fine. This lock has a lot of great specifications you can find on their site, for me when reading a review I want to know one thing, does it work. Yes, most definitely this lock works. No one is going anywhere without a key including you so again make sure you do not loose the keys. ... show more

    • Heavy and awkward to use.
I imagine this provides decent security but it is really heavy and rather unwieldy to put in place and lock. It also adds a lot of perhaps unnecessary weight to your rig which slowly adds up to lower towing efficiency.
