  • best night splint on Amazon!
Color: Gray Size: Large
I've tired a couple of different night splints and this is definitely the best. It is quick and easy take on and off; of the other two that I tried this is by far the most comfortable. Yes it's a little more expensive but I think the extra cost is well worth it if it means you'll be more consistent with wearing it. The other ones were a hassle to get on and off and were extremely uncomfortable to wear so more often than not I would not wear them. It does get warm so be prepared for that. I do appreciate that the outer lining can be taken off and washed. I wear men's size 9 and got the large. The large is a perfect fit. My toes do not hang off the edge which what I was going for. So far I've worn this splint for three nights in a row and I can already tell it's making a difference. I have a bad case of plantar faciitis that I've been battling for over a year now. Wearing this through the night has definitely relieved some of the pain that I feel in the morning when I wake up. I've done all the recommended therapies such as ice, stretching, insoles, compression socks, massaging with the spikey ball, and none of of those things seem to work. After a few days of using this splint at night I feel a noticeable improvement with pain. The key is consistency. I will probably be wearing this thing every night for the next few months. It's not ideal but if it will get rid of the pain and swelling in my foot than I'm more than happy to wear it. ... show more

  • Great product & good value
Color: Gray Size: Large
I very rarely give 5 stars, but this product is well thought out. - pros: > My shoe size is 10.5, the large size fit perfect. > Velcro holds great on the boot surface. > Optional pad and wedges (included) allow an easy custom fit. > Boot is soft, but has nice firm, and solid reinforcement. > While the outside of the boot is soft, it doesen't feel unstable or slip when I walk with it. > Good value. - Cons: > None ... show more

  • Fantastic, comfortable, bulky and there needs to be a left and right...
Color: Gray Size: Large
these splints are bulky but comfortable and they are effective in what they are designed to do. I wish they had a left and right because its a little uncomfortable trying to put the same shoe on different feet. Also the velcro gets caught on the leg, be it left or right, while walking and turning in bed. The result is you rip off the velcro on the other leg and trip yourself if your not careful. I would recommend to the manufacturer to make a right and left just by reversing the way the velcro straps go on the unit. Simple! I may cut them off and sew them back on to create an opposite foot. It will be very easy to do. You can see in the picture next to this review the straps go from left to right all away around. Thats a right foot and oddly enough thats the one with the problem because the velcro at the end of the strap gets caught on the left foot if you are wearing them on both feet like I do. On the left foot that velcro is on the outside of the leg not the inside like we see in this picture. ******* I have worn these now for about a month. These are very bulky as I said before and the velcro is ruining my comforter and blanket. they should use adjustable buckles on these boots. I think I'm going to buy another type of boot. These keep your feet in the right position and give good stretch but the velcro got clogged quickly and is just too difficult to work with when wearing on both feet at the same time. If you have a sleeve to put over the boot to keep the straps from ripping off then these are great, otherwise keep looking, sorry. ... show more

  • Wish I'd Had This Years Ago
Color: Gray Size: Large
I have had Plantar Fasciitis for almost size years now. Tried NSAID's and orthotics, but have never had the cortisone shots (too many horror stories scared me off). It has progressively gotten worse, to the point that any time I sat down for more than than five minutes, it was torture to walk again. If I sat in a recliner or any chair where my feet were off the ground for any length of time, I'd have to stretch out my foot for several minutes before even standing, and I still had trouble walking. A few months ago I started using a cane around the house, and then I started using it other places because it was less embarrassing than almost falling over when I'd stand up. Eventually decided I needed to do something, so I ordered this splint. I should have ordered this years ago! I wear it at night and any time I sit for a long period of time, and it is just a world of difference. There is some pain still, but absolutely nothing like it was before. I can walk in the morning, I can walk after sitting, just a little "bruised" feeling but nothing horrible. Without the splint I do still have problems, so obviously this isn't curing my Fasciitis, but it makes living with it so much easier. The straps and design are comfortable; I don't even notice it most of the time. I don't recommend trying to walk in it - just take it off and you'll be much better, then strap it back on when you get back to the chair or bed. The cover removes for easy washing. Very soft material, a little warm in the summer, but not bad. I've noticed since using this daily for two weeks, I have less problems with my Fasciitis even when walking and doing stuff - there is just less pain in general. Love it! ... show more

  • Works well and comfortable for sleeping
Color: Gray Size: Large
I had ankle surgery and needed to wear my hard boot all the time and sleeping with a cumbersome boot on was so uncomfortable. I had a splint that used an ace bandage wrapped around it to keep it in place but that would loosen throughout the night. The first night I used this boot was okay but not optimal so I inserted the cushion from the hospital splint and it feels wonderful and doesn't loosen. So far the velcro works well. ... show more

  • Don’t buy it. Look for other options instead.
Color: Black Size: Large
I bought this splint after my doctor recommended wearing one during my fifth week of Achilles tendon surgery recovery. Unfortunately, this product is extremely uncomfortable. The top edge presses into my upper calf and causes so much pain that I can’t sleep while wearing it. I tried adjusting it in different ways, but nothing helped. Instead of supporting my recovery, it made it harder because I couldn’t rest. I would not recommend this splint if you need to wear it overnight during Achilles tendon recovery. ... show more

  • Very easy to use, comfortable and it works.
Color: Gray Size: Large
I noticed a great relief in morning heel pain after the first night of wearing this Vive boot splint. After several days, I finally believe that my plantar fasciitis is going to be healed by using this splint. Yes, I do stretching, taping and massage, and will continue to do so, but this is a game-changer. It securely holds your foot in a neutral position while you sleep to allow the fascia to heal properly. I did try a sock-type splint, which took me quite a while to get on and adjusted properly. However, I found that it allowed my foot to flex downward no matter how it was tightened up. I see that Brad & Bob, two popular physical therapists on YouTube, don’t recommend the sock-type for this reason. No, I can put this Vive boot on or off in 15 seconds, and it didn’t take me long to get used to wearing it while I sleep. Incidentally, I also wear it during the day in the living room when I'll be sitting for a while watching TV. It's very comfortable and the little wedge adds just the right additional stretch under the ball of my foot. Update: This boot has NOT cured my heel pain in my right foot, but seems to be helping when combined with consistently stretching my foot before standing on it, and wearing KT tape daily. I'm hoping that by sticking to this triple regimen that I will fully recover the use of my foot. Update 2: My right foot has not really improved and I've stopped wearing this boot at night. I've stopped taping my foot as well. The only thing that relieves the pain at this point is consistently stretching my plantar fascia before putting weight on my foot after sitting too long. I've had plantar fasciitis for 7 months at this point. ... show more

  • Not suitable for Grade 3 Ankle Sprain
Color: Gray Size: Large
My orthopedic surgeon recommended I buy this for a sleeping brace for my torn ATFL, CFL, and other injuries concurrent when I got a grade 3 ankle sprain back in September 2025 as he didn't want to go through the hassle of actually ordering real DME or sending me to an orthotist (lo and behold he ghosted me in February with no surgery or anything... but also another MRI showing those ligaments ruptured and I still can't walk. Some doctors really leave you scratching your head sometimes...) It offers no support or stability for any of these issues. Also, If I need to pee in the middle of the night and use my crutches next to the bed to do so it's like not having anything to hold my ankle together AT ALL. I tried using the wedges like ankle stabilizers but they won't stay put. And it forces my foot to be in an uncomfortable position under the covers in the angle that it is at, but if I keep it above the covers even in a wool sock with flannel pj's and everything else the dog thinks it is a toy. It just doesn't adjust enough to suit my needs - like the foot and ankle velcro straps only go horizontally and I would need them to go at angles. On top of this, the calf velcro strap kept popping off because it wasn't cut long enough to fit my calf muscles. I ended up spending close to $500 on night/sleeping braces alone trying to find something suitable. This was not one of them and is in a pile in my closet with other braces and DME for various things that might come in useful at some later date but don't work for what I need them for now. ... show more
