Great product! I run with a compression knee band and then the IT-band on top. With that and then practicing doing a higher kandance, so I make smaller strides and land with my weight under me, I have not had any IT-band knee pain, even on my 16km long run.

I've dealt with IT Band Syndrome for a year since injuring my knee 7 miles in to a half marathon that I finished anyway. I ran the same race 2 weeks ago and my knee went out again near the end. I finished again and haven't stopped to let it heal because I had a 5K today. I've been nervous because it hurts must of the time and buckles occasionally. I put on the Vive IT Band strap that I got yesterday before the race, tightened it as much as I comfortably could, and ran the entire race without one single minute of knee pain!! It honestly stopped my pain and stabilized my knee. I was ecstatic. In fact, the band works so well and is so comfortable that I've kept it on all day. And I just ordered a second band to have a spare. I wore mine above my knee while wearing the standard running capris (slicker stretchy light compression type). It didn't slip or cause any discomfort at all. It has a rectangle pad to provide the pressure point on the IT Band in the leg and a stretchy soft rubbery cushioned strap that loops through a ring to fasten with Velcro. It will adjust to a lot of leg sizes with the length of the strap. I can't speak for long term quality yet but it seems well made.

If you suffer from IT band pain this is a great compression wrap to help reduce the pain. What makes this band unique is the bump on the inside of the band. When wrapping the band around your leg get that bump over the area where you feel the discomfort. It's a lot more effective than other bands I have used.

This has definitely helped me get back into my running routine after dealing with ITB issues for the past two months! However, don’t rely solely on this strap—it’s just a tool, not a complete solution. The main reason we experience pain on the outside of the knee is often due to neglecting our glutes. Weak glutes can lead to poor hip stability, which puts extra strain on the IT band and contributes to knee pain. Strengthening the glutes helps improve alignment and reduces stress on the IT band, making it essential for long-term relief. Listen to your body and make sure to rest when needed!

This strap is so easy to use and stabilizes my IT band. I wasn't expecting it to work so well. It's much easier for me to walk down hill with no pain. There are three inserts that push in on the IT band with different intensities. Really helpful.
