I've been using double edged razors for years. My old one was finally degrading so I got this one. The longer handle is very nice, as well as the more rounded head - it makes it easier to hold and shave at an angle. I don't have a use for the string at the bottom but I like the touch of color. I also love the pattern on the handle - while the shaving world is finally realizing that not only men can use double edge razors, most of the razors are still plain. I am starting to see more variety, but it's usually a regular razor coated in coloring. I love that this has a design and feels more feminine in general. The weight and head feel like it was created with a woman's needs in mind. I didn't like the blade it came with unfortunately. It was sharp and nicked my skin without actually cutting the hair very well. I recommend the vicking sensitive skin blades for this razor.

They need to examine the width and shape of The Zomchi razor (here on Amazon). This razor’s head is almost like the Zomchi but it’s too wide on the edge shields. Copying the Zomchi design would make this razor a winner with Muhle’s great quality build. Also needs very heavy knurled handle. This one might as well be polished smooth. Could be a great razor.

I don't often wright reviews... A little back story, I've been shaving for over 50 years and have always done so with a muti-blade cartridge razor. I started with the Trac II and used various cartridge razors since. About 20 years ago I started shaving my head. Over the past couple of months I've been looking into "wet shaving" using a DE safety razor. When I read the description about MÜHLE Companion being designed for entry level as well as being suitable for head and body shaving I finally pulled the trigger. Since receiving the razor I have shaved my face four times and my head twice. The first shave I anticipated getting a couple of nicks/ cuts due to inexperience. What I did not count on was taking a 1/4 chunk of skin off the back of my head. I used my electric razor on my head for the next 10 days giving it a chance to heal before making another attempt. The second head shave went better but not great I have yet to get a nick free shave but I'm not giving up just yet. So far I can't say the quality shave is any better than what I was getting with a cartridge razor... One other thing, while this razor has a very good grip with dry hands, it is definitely slippery when wet!

I used this product to shave my legs and underarms. I followed product directions and compared to another safety razor (Henson), and the shave with this razor was not at all close. It left hair behind that I had to use the other razor to clean up. Having to make multiple passes irritated my skin, which was not ideal. I wish I could return through Amazon but had already opened the product. I'd like to get a refund as the razor was pretty expensive to not work very well at all.

This gave me the best shave I had in my life without razor bumps. I wanted less plastic waste and I can never get a good shave from disposable heads anyway. To all the reviewers that said to go slow, “thank you.” Seriously, just slow down from your normal life of hurrying through everything and take your time for this one thing, and not only will you have a spare few extra moments to yourself, you’ll have a fantastic shave as well. I definitely ordered Mühle replacement blades.

This razor is awesome, it's very efficient but smooth the design is very nice, the only drawback for me was the handle, too long and a little slippery, but I liked the design of the head and the efficiency that I bought a Razorock bamboo handle and it looks and feels awesome, here's a picture of what it looks like with the new handle.
