This visual fault locator works well and does exactly what I needed it to do. It's very easy to use, and I especially like the flashing mode. It makes it much easier to trace fiber and pinpoint problems than using a steady beam all the time. The laser is bright and had no trouble showing breaks or bends in the cable. My only complaint is the overall build quality. It feels a little on the cheap side, so I wouldn't expect it to survive years of heavy daily use or a lot of abuse in a tool bag. That said, for the price, it gets the job done and performs as advertised. If you need an inexpensive fiber optic tester for occasional use, this is a solid choice.
