  • Garden Terrace Smells Amazing and I really like the packaging!
Style: Hair Shampoo & Conditioner Bar Set
Okay so this review is liable to change but I just thought I'd write what I thought of this product! I just had my first shower with this and would like to share. So I had bought ACURE Curiously Clarifying Shampoo as well as the Garden Terrace shampoo and conditioner. The clarifying shampoo works well for product buildup and hardwater. From my understanding, you might want to use a clarifying shampoo every once and a while-maybe about a month. I'm fairly sure it helps with not getting too much protein in your hair, which can cause breakage, hair loss, and stiff hair. The viore bars have rice water which is supposed to be protein rich, so I'm thinking/hoping the clarifying shampoo wasn't a waste. Now on to the shampoo and conditioner bars! Before even using them, the garden terrace scented bars smelled SO good. After opening the package I was sitting in the bathroom practically huffing the smell. Its a very nice and dainty floral smell. Something almost like roses maybe. I haven't tried the shampoo bar yet, as I ended up using the clarifying shampoo to start me off right, no buildup and no hard water to affect the way this shampoo and conditioner would be treating my hair. After washing the clarifying shampoo out, I lathered up the conditioner bar and ran my hand over my hair. That didn't exactly feel like enough though (maybe that's just me being used to the lather and feel from bottled shampoos and conditioners) so I ran the bar lightly over my hair in small circles. After I put the conditioner away, I ran my hands through my slicker feeling hair. Not too many tugs! Although I would recommend brushing through your hair before you shower as I did, if that's not already a regular part of your routine. I'd imagine it'd help the product through your hair especially if your hair is prone to breaking off. Also, I'd recommend maybe treating yourself to a moisturizing hair mask every week or so maybe. I'm going to try and do that myself! I only mention this because with how soft the rest of my hair is, I can't help but notice my split ends in particular. Its probably that I just need a trim, but I stand by advising a simple hair mask you could probably make yourself out of coconut oil and olive oil (you can look up recipes online for what would work best for you). But anyway! I washed everything out and about 2-4 hours later, my hair is very soft! It could just be because that's how my hair normally is after an average wash, but so far, I think it feels very nice and not squeaky feeling if that makes sense. I'll update if I notice anything else, for better or worse. ... show more

  • Surprisingly amazing!
Style: Hair Shampoo & Conditioner Bar Set
I have been using this set for almost a year now so I finally feel like I can really judge it. I have thin, fine, wavy, blonde hair to my shoulder blades, and I typically wash my hair every 3ish days. My hair tends to be fairly dry and prone to breakage, but my scalp gets oily pretty quickly. I didn't love this set at first, but after some trial and error I am obsessed! When I first started using the set, I was just using a little bit of the shampoo rubbed into my hands, and just putting it on my scalp, and I was using more of the conditioner with the bar applied directly to my hair. This is how I would normally use bottled shampoo and conditioner - just a little bit of shampoo on the scalp and lots of conditioner all over. I put the conditioner bar mostly on my ends, but also took the excess all the way to the scalp. During this time it seemed like it was weighing my hair down and leaving a bit of a residue. I was using a bottled shampoo and conditioner every 2-3 washes because it seemed like the bars weren't doing a great job. This was especially true if I was using heavy styling products in my hair, like gel or oils. One day I had some especially heavy products in my hair from multiple days of styling without a wash, and I decided to try doing a double shampoo with the bar. I used a lot more of the shampoo than normal, putting the bar on my head directly and getting a thick lather, then rinsed and repeated the shampoo again. Then I followed up with my normal conditioner bar routine of sliding the bar all over the lengths of my hair and then getting some on my hands and applying to the scalp. MY LIFE WAS CHANGED! When I got out of the shower I was SHOCKED at how smooth, manageable, and soft my hair was. I think I was not using enough of the shampoo before to really clean my hair correctly. Now I don't always do a double shampoo unless I have a lot of product build up, but I do use way more shampoo and make sure to get a thick lather. I can do a full scalp oiling, use lots of styling products, and still do my heavy conditioner routine, and my hair is softer and shinier than it has ever been! I have actually been using fewer styling products lately because my hair just doesn't need the extra leave-in conditioner products anymore. I wasn't sure if shampoo and conditioner bars were going to be for me, but I can happily say I am a convert for life! They are also SO much more convenient for travel, and they last FOREVER. I haven't been using the set exclusively this year, but I have used it for about 60-70% of my washes, and the bars are only about half gone! I also LOVE the floral scent of the Viori bars. It is not overpowering but it is lovely. ... show more

  • Nice Fragrance
Style: Hair Shampoo & Conditioner Bar Set
Definitely a little weird at first using a bar of soap to wash your hair but you get used to it. It lathers really nice. The smell of the shampoo is really nice and I’ll admit I use it as body soap as I love the smell. The conditioner is also great and leaves your hair soft but it definitely doesn’t last as long as the shampoo. But definitely would buy again!! ... show more

  • overall a solid product
Style: Hair Shampoo & Conditioner Bar Set
Been using Viori (shampoo and conditioner) for maybe 2 years now. No idea what's my hair type, but I've bleached and dyed my hair. Pros: - my hair seems to be healthier and silky (even when bleached). - lasts me a long time (4-6 months), but I usually shower every other day. - smells good (I get the Terrace Garden, have tried the other scents as well - scents tho are more subjective) - affordable, especially when on sale. If buying from the Viori website directly, the shipping costs have been reasonable (last time I ordered from the website directly was a year ago, and it was ~$3). Cons: - mainly with conditioner bar, (might be storing it incorrectly), but the thing will mold if not used regularly. - reportedly, there's some shady business practices (in terms of their "mission"), but at least they deliver a good product consistently. ... show more
