This chandelier is gorgeous! Truly the photos don’t do it justice. I can’t wait to hang it, we are have to repaint first, but oh my goodness, you could put this in the White House! The little glass “trays” - whatever is under the candle light fixture that in olden days would have collected dripping wax, they are reminiscent of an intricate shell. They are so dainty and delicate, not quite opaque, not quite see through, they are to die for. The finish is just as it appears in the photo, almost like looking at a gold bar that has been weathered. It looks like it could have come from a hundred year old mansion more easily than I would have through Amazon (no offense Amazon). My husband is pretty handy and he installs all of our light fixtures, ceiling fans, etc. He isn’t a professional electrician, but we have been married for about twenty years and nothing has fallen on my head and the house hasn’t burned down, so there is that. He looked over the wiring and said it’s all standard and doesn’t look any more difficult to hang than anything else. He did note that it is likely heavier than simpler fixtures, so it may be helpful to have someone assist with holding it up while it’s being hung. I’ve already tested out the “crystals” and they truly do sparkle in the light and make rainbows. This is a huge win, I am thrilled! Ten stars! ... show more

I finally got the chandelier installed in my dining room, and it looks even better than the pictures online. I was worried the "antique gold" might be too bright or tacky, but it’s actually a soft, warm tone that makes the room feel more high-end. The crystal accents catch the light perfectly, even when the bulbs are off during the day. One thing I noticed is that it’s quite heavy and feels sturdy, not like those flimsy fixtures you find at big-box hardware stores. It took some patience to put all the pieces together, but once it was up on our sloped ceiling, it became the centerpiece of the house. I hooked it up to a dimmer switch, which I highly recommend because it sets a great mood for dinner parties. My favorite part is how it looks in the evening; the light bounces off the crystals and creates a nice pattern on the walls. Beautiful chandelier. Works great and looks amazing. Was easy to set up in a few hours (expect two people to hang it). The crystals are nice but a pain in the butt to assemble.
