do yourself a favor, avoid the cheaper "edison bulbs" and go with philipps - a) these don't have dark black labels or printing so you get a nice effect when the bulbs are off or on, b) no flickering, the cheaper brands flicker when you first turn them on, and some stop after a few minutes, others don't, c) these are true bright white which is perfect for the bathroom, you can get the soft white for say a powder room, but I like it to be bright in the bathroom, d) trusted brand, lasts long and worth the few extra dollars - quality over quantity ... show more

I'm really happy I swapped bulbs and went with these. They appear to be brighter and the color temp is truer to what they are supposed to be compared to the ones I had. These also dim so much better than my previous bulbs, they dim a lot lower and definitely do not flicker when they are dimmed.

Put these into a 6 bulb overhead lighting fixture with dimmer switch in my dining room/living room. They give off a nice warm light, when turned up all the way are bright enough to light the whole room. They do however flicker if using a dimmer switch and have them at the low side of brightness (say under 20%). Have had them for about a year without any burning out, but being LEDs I don't expect any to burn out for several years. ... show more
