A neighbor of ours had purchased this same chandelier in gold and we were so impressed with the quality that we decided to buy one as well. The final result exceeded our expectations and really allowed our dining area to shine. Although our recessed lighting did an adequate job of lighting the space, it's true purpose was to act as a focal point in the room. I'd highly recommend a dimmer switch (which we already had) since the chandelier does produce quite a bit of light and allows you greater control depending on whether the space is being used during the day or evening. We didn't install it ourselves but the electrician said it was a breeze. There are multiple rods included depending on your ceiling height drop preferences. I only wish those rods had been in six-inch increments instead of ten so that we could have hung ours just a bit lower. ... show more

Very happy with this chandelier. Loved that they were almost totally assembled-arms just needed the last step of being screwed in and it was very easy to install. I also like the look of only 8 lights- less busy than the ones with more and doesn't overwhelm my smaller space and low-ish ceilings. My only note is that I bought amber edison bulbs and I don't like the color when not in use with the nickel finish (like in the picture in the listing), I'm switching to clear LED edisons- but this is a personal preference thing. You either need an electrician or someone mechanically smart to install this. If you buy good bulbs and a dimmer switch, (which, why wouldn't you) those things will cost more than chandelier itself. It is way too bright with regular bulbs with no dimmer as you can see from other reviews. I couldn't take it even with the leds. Trust me, you will want to be able to adjust brightness. Good led bulbs will be between 8 to 20 dollars. Dimmer switch was 25. Picture I included is at highest brightness before dimmer was installed. ... show more

Best quality I've seen so far. Each lamp arm screws in and then there is a set screw that locks it in place. I bought another in which more than half of the lamp arms would not thread in properly because the threads were already stripped. This had none of those problems and the set screw was an added measure to secure each of the lamp arms. Very pleased. ... show more

Beautiful and well constructed light for the money. It’ll probably take you a good half hour to assemble it, but not difficult at all. The wires going to each light/arm are all pre-connected, so our only advice is; before screwing each arm into the center ball, twist them counterclockwise just a bit to make up for the way they will be twisted when you screw the arm in, so the wires end up straight and not twisted. ... show more

Love love love this light fixture. It looks fantastic in my entry way. I used 40 watt amber tinted Edison bulbs and they look amazing. Keep in mind 8 of the Edison bulbs are going to cost around $50 to $60 but they will last forever and look great. I did not get the bulbs on Amazon but I'm pretty sure they sell them. I wanted to see the light fixture in person and then pick the right bulb. I highly recommend this light fixture. ... show more

We loved this product! It’s well made and looks fantastic in our dining room. The only thing that was frustrating were those directions! Come on! It took twice as long to install because those instructions were very lacking. Use IKea instructions as your standard to update these as they are perfect.
