Overall, I am very pleased with my purchase. Pros: This pergola looks great, and really helps with the summer heat. This came in two separate boxes which were meticulously packed. After unpacking, which was a job in itself , assembly took about an hour or so. It is at least a two person job. The frame seems fairly strong. The ability to move the cover from one side to the other as needed is great. Cons: The cover, being a canvas type material, catches all wind. The pergola must be firmly grounded. I think that a breathable cover might work better in this respect. The addition of another stop on the middle each side would allow the cover to be halfway down on both sides at the same time instead of completely down on one side or the other. I’m thinking that might help with wind resistance. Overall, very happy with my purchase. Three days later, we had a sudden storm come through. Winds were in excess of 40 mph. The sliding bar on one side, and the rafter on the same end were bent from the pressure of the canvas. The sandbags that I had strapped to each post weren’t enough to hold the frame down, so I was forced to cut the cover to save the rest of the frame. Even though I was disappointed in my loss, I felt like it was to be expected under the circumstances. I emailed customer service mainly to convey my thoughts on the cover material and positioning as earlier discussed. They asked for a few pictures of the damage, and to my pleasant surprise sent a full replacement! I will be drilling a hole midway on each slide tube as mentioned earlier and using lynchpins so that the cover can be secured halfway down each side if needed. I will also be bolting the posts to a solid foundation. I would not hesitate to buy again!

Great look make sure you have even ground to stabilize it I did have to make some adjustments to my patio but over all it’s nice I hired a handyman to assemble it did not take over three hours.

Not an easy assembly, but once it's done, you'll love it! Beautiful design and provides great sun protection. Pergola frame looks great, with or without the canopy/shade. We're using it every day now. It's like having an extra room! Shade adjustment is simple. Easy to remove the canopy for storage or high winds. Great value for money!

After re-engineering and buying $100 in parts, the pergola is up. Parts were missing from order, vendor customer service never responded to requests for assistance. The instructions were very lacking in the details. My fish are happy, but I will not purchase from this vendor again.

I do not recommend. The instructions weren't great, just pictures with nothing written. Since it's been a rainy spring, we've been able to see how it does in inclement weather. Not great!! The canopy blows back and forth and holds gallons and gallons of rain water. We're constantly using a broom to try to push the water off of it. It's really kind of a pain.

The instructions were easy to follow and we put it together quickly. The anchors that it came with, however, were useless. We live in the greater Las Vegas, Nevada area and our winds are strong. So I bought some good quality concrete anchors and that did the trick.

Took a good while to assemble. The instructions say 2-3 people, but really you’d need 3-4 people if following the directions to the T. Bc I only had myself and the husband to set it up, I had to follow the directions slightly different (upside down), so it is doable technically with just 2 people. So far it’s serving its purpose. It is shading where I need it and I’m able to slide the top down on one side as the sun moves through out the day, so that’s nice. We haven’t bolted it down yet, but it seems to be doing well and not move from the wind here in southern Cali. Price is affordable, wish it was free shipping though, that would’ve been perfect!
