I’m satisfied overall with the product. Assembly isn’t too difficult. The wood boxes are covered in a wax which makes it slightly difficult to put together. Even with a rubber mallet, if you’re not careful the dovetail portions can break off. The nails for the frames are too thick and will split the wood. I switched to a brad nailer which worked better and faster. The instructions are less than desirable. They look great and don’t have to be painted. It remains unseen how they will hold up in the Texas weather.

I've been keeping bees for over 40 yrs. These are nice hives for the price I paid. The joints on the wood work where outstanding. The frame for inside are a nice thick cut wood that fit together perfectly. 5 stars.

All the joints are filled with wax I really had to pound all the joints in with a rubber mallet to make them fit. The box boards split slightly and broke one. I kind of glued and nailed them back together. I'm hoping it will be ok. I had a nail gun so it was pretty easy but if you were trying to screw them together. I bet you would have to pre drill every joint or they will split. I bought another give it was a lot better quality should have gotten another of that one.
