I was definitely impressed! I tested it on GH5 using the following lenses: 16-35mm Mk III, 24-70mm Mk II, 35 Mk II 1.4, 50 1.8 and 24-105mm Mk I and they all worked surprisedly well! My co-workers who are also professional video producers were also very impressed! That extra full stop of light is going to really come in handy in low light settings! Awesome value for the money! It’s real value for money and the delivery was faster than other product I’ve ordered here to South Africa. You won’t have auto focus with this but works like a dream on my bmpcc4k with the 50mm 1.4 giving me an f stop of 1 :)

4 Months of testing on my GH4 and here are my results: Pros: -Aperture control -Can use my Canon lenses -Lower F/Stop Cons: -Back focuses on AF (every time and on every lens) -Auto focus sometimes works and sometimes doesn't -Lens Attachment failure started showing up after 2 months but works 80% of the time

Muy buena solución para poder utilizar objetivos Canon con la bmpcc 4k, la uso con el 50mm el 70-200 y el 28-135 sin embargo no tienee la función de enfoque con ninguno, solo el estabilizador del propio 28-135 funciona, fuera de eso es una opción excelente.

Quality control is a huge issue with Viltrox. I recently picked this adapter up and had issues right out of the box. First thing I noticed was a soft halo look to my footage at wide open apertures. The Footage was hazy and had chromatic aberrations. I stopped up to f4 from f1.4 and the Viltrox did look somewhat better -- but the reason why I am using fast glass is to be able to shoot at wide open in low light situations. I did try to adjust the Viltrox by turning the internal lens, but I couldn’t fix the haze look. I did like that it worked with most of my lenses on my BMPCC 4k but be warned this adapter does not work with EF f/1.2 lenses. I emailed Viltrox and they told me this is a known issue. Anything above f/1.4 should work. If you have time to keep sending them back and receiving different ones, you may get a nice one that performs well. But, if you don't have time to mess with this stuff, just get the metabones xl or ultra. I would only buy this adapter if you are really in a tight budget and need something asap. If you have issues with yours I would return it and email Viltrox.
