I have a Sony A7V. I purchased a Voightlander 55mm 1.2 lens with a Nikon F mount, so I needed an adapter to convert to E mount. I looked at different ones for a long time. I almost pulled the trigger on a Monster adapter for $439. I didn't want to because that's just a lot for an adapter but the lens was coming and I wanted to shoot with it when it came since weekends is the only time I'm free. But I'm glad I calmed myself down and went back over what I needed. I just wanted the camera to get the EXIF data. I didn't care about autofocus. I was okay with manual focus. I had to be because it's a manual focus lens. The VILTROX NF-E1 Auto Focus AF Electronic Lens Mount Adapter seemed to fill the bill at a much lower price. And I could return it if it didn't work. well, it works fine. it's good not to be anxious to buy things, especially camera gear.

Works great with Nikon F mounts with auto focus

All my glass are F mounts. When I got my Z, I either had to get new Z glass or an adapter. Newer glass can get expensive. I opted for the adapter. Perfect fit to my Z and my F mounts. This one has a port that can be used to update the software. A friend of mind has the older version. His would NOT work with my 70 - 200 Tamron. However, the Viltrox NF-Z auto focus works fantastically.

āļø Overall: 9/10 This little adapter has honestly been one of the most useful things I've bought for my Canon M50 Mark II. I use the VILTROX EF-EOS M adapter, which lets me use Canon EF/EF-S lenses on my M50 Mark II. That was a HUGE deal for me because it meant I didn't have to go out and buy an entirely new collection of lenses just because my camera has a different mount. Right now, I've been able to use lenses like my 50mm f/1.8 and 28-135mm with my M50 Mark II, and I LOVE having those optionsāespecially as I've been getting more into videography. š„š¤ What I LOVE: āØ Lets me use EF/EF-S lenses on my M50 Mark II āØ Electronic communication between the camera and compatible lenses āØ Autofocus still works āØ Aperture control works through the camera āØ Feels pretty sturdy once everything is attached āØ WAY cheaper than replacing all of my lenses āØ Gives me so many more lens options What I DON'T love: š
It adds some extra length and weight to an already small camera š
Bigger lenses can make the M50 feel pretty front-heavy š
That extra weight can make balancing my gimbal more annoying š
Autofocus performance can depend on the lens you're using But honestly, the negatives are pretty minor compared with what this adapter allows me to do. If you have a Canon EOS M camera and already own EF or EF-S glass, I think an adapter like this makes SO much sense. Instead of looking at my M50 Mark II and thinking, "Greatā¦ now I need all new lenses," I can actually use lenses I already own. šš» For photography AND videography, this has made my little M50 setup so much more versatile. āļø 9/10 Would I buy it again? 100% YES. For my setup, this tiny adapter opened up a whole lot more possibilities without opening up my wallet nearly as much. ššøš„

Donāt buy this - save your money

Save your money I bought this for my Sony a7cii cause I have some very nice Nikon lenses with AF new and vintage nikor glass with tons of character. Problem is autofocus doesnāt work at all And Thatās not even half the problem - problem is even for the manual vintage glass is not working: The camera becomes unresponsive - I try to take pictures and itās not taking - If I switch to video it starts recording and after 20 some seconds the screen becomes dark and I canāt even turn on or off the camera unless I take the battery out. Wasted $186 for nothing - just get a manual one for like $20 I got it like 2 months ago and just got the chance to use it - I didnāt think about trying because I purchase from Amazon what could go wrong!?! It was sealed but donāt understand - it either faulty or thatās how the product is !? Not sure - canāt return it now so Iām stuck with it Donāt buy it

Worked great! Also the packaging was nice- the box was of a nicer quality and it had a foam base so the adapter wasn't sliding around. Was easy to use and I think worked fine for what I tried it with! It wasn't the most expensive option but I think a good option for the value. Would highly recommend! Everything fit snugly with no issues and I tried a few different lenses and they were compatible as described.

Works well with Tamron lenses for E-mount + Z6III

Works well with a Tamron 24/2.8 and Z6III. Updating the firmware was a bit of a hassle, but by wiggling the cable I was able to connect the adapter successfully. So far so good, and happy to being able to use Sony lenses on my Nikon body. Only downside I have noticed so far is that it takes quite a bit of force to attach the adapter to the lens.
