  • Viltrox 15mm, 85mm f2, 50 1.4 Pro
*: 15mm F1.7
I purchased the viltrox 15mm 1.7, 85mm f2 FE, and 50 1.4 Pro FE. Viltrox 15mm 1.7: Great lens, fantastic for the price, great quality! Sharp enough for my needs and lightweight. Great walk around wide lens and great for night time. Great for vlogging. I watched YouTube reviews on it which were favorable, I'm happy with my purchase. Viltrox 85mm f2 EVO FE (photo of girl in skates) Heavier with superior build quality than the 15 & 56. Decently sharp lens. Bokeh is nice and smooth. Autofocus is fast and silent. Great value for the price as is the same for all viltrox lenses. Viltrox 50mm 1.4 Pro FE. (Boy in red shirt photos). I upgraded my camera body from a6400 to a7vi so I needed a 50mm. WOW. Amazing build quality and weather sealing. At f1.4 with eye tracking my camera was nailing the focus. Mild vignetting, slightly prone to ghosting/flaring with strong backlighting, but the bokeh is very dreamy. Less than 1/2 the cost of the Sony 50 GM 1.4 it performs VERY well period. So far I’m very happy with my purchase, I think this will stay on my camera most of the time. Now I’m considering adding the viltrox 35mm LAB. ... show more

*: 85mm F1.4 Pro Full Frame
OMG this is my fav lens. I have been a pro for over 12 yrs. This lens is so track sharp, focused super fast. It is light enough to carry with you all day. It feels well built. The price point is fantastic, I actually researched it and this lens specs are extremely close to the 85 GM. I just wish Viltrox had zoom lenses. I also have the 50mm and it is just as gorgeous. ... show more

  • Amazing lens, sharp, fast and fun
*: 9mm F2.8
Incredible quality for the price. Not even a phone wide-angle can capture that much o a scene. Of course there will be a lot of distorsion but that's how you can achieve interesting and compelling pictures. You can get absurdly close with subjects and still get sharp focus. I bought it for my Sony A6700 ... show more

  • Updated review-After taking this out a few times, I rate it 'excellent' for quality and value!
*: 14mm F4.0 Full Frame
I'm updating this bargain lens to five stars, now that I've taken more photographs with it. This wide angle for less than $200 is perfect for my needs. Eliminates me having to do multiple shots with a 28mm lens and stitch them together. You can see a little aberration at the edge. Plus with a protective filter it encroaches on the corners. But that is minor. Update-12dec2025 - I finally took this lens out for a test run. I am amazed at how much more of the scenery I can capture in one shot, versus stitching two shots together when using my 28-70mm lens. However, I've noticed three things, which are NOT a dealbreakers- 1. My camera's autofocus does not lock onto the subject as well, at night, regardless of the mode (center, zone or point focus). Sometimes it just won't lock on. I have to go into manual mode. 2. I noticed a dark area in the corners of the frame. Realized that because of its great wide angle, the rim of the protective filter that I immediately put on the lens, is what is obscuring that part of the picture frame. Which means I have to remove the filter, or I will have to crop a little bit. 3. As stated this lens is NOT weather seals, so I carry a protective cloth, which I keep covering the lens with when I am out in inclement weather. Other than that, it is very lightweight and does a decent job. Here are a few shots I did with it today on a wet rainy day. My main lens is a 28-70mm Sony. However, I have always having to stitch two images together to get the angle wide enough. This Viltrox at less than $200, was rated highway on you tube for its value. So I purchased it on sale here at Amazon for about $160, which left me enough money to by a sky filter and a metal hood and keep the price less than $200. It is F4, so it is not meant to be great for indoor shots. But I will shoot outdoors today. So far, I'm pretty satisfied with it for indoor shooting. ... show more

  • **Excellent Budget Lens with Minor Trade-offs** ⭐⭐⭐⭐ (4/5 stars)
*: 25mm f1.7
I picked up the VILTROX 25mm f1.7 for my Sony E-mount camera, and for under $200, it's been a solid addition to my kit. **The Good:** This lens punches well above its price point. When you have decent lighting, it produces sharp images with nice depth of field thanks to the f1.7 aperture. It's incredibly beginner-friendly – I had no issues figuring it out right away. The autofocus works reliably and speed is pretty decent, which is impressive at this price range. For anyone starting out in photography or looking for an affordable prime lens, this is a fantastic option. **The Not-So-Good:** The AF motor is audibly loud – you'll definitely hear the stepping motor hunting for focus, especially in quiet environments. This might be an issue if you're shooting video. Another thing to note: there's no manual focus ring on the lens itself. You'll need to adjust focus through your camera's menu/settings, which can be a bit inconvenient when you want quick manual control. Small and portable as well. **Low Light Performance:** In low-light situations, I haven't gotten the results I was hoping for, though I suspect this might be partially due to my camera body rather than just the lens. It's not terrible, but don't expect miracles in dimly lit conditions. **Bottom Line:** For the price, this lens is absolutely worth it. Yes, it has some limitations, but show me another sub-$200 autofocus lens that performs this well in good lighting. If you're a beginner or budget-conscious photographer looking for a solid prime lens to experiment with, I'd recommend giving the VILTROX 25mm f1.7 a shot. **Recommended for:** Beginners, budget shooters, daylight/well-lit photography **Not ideal for:** Video work (noisy AF), low-light situations, those who need manual focus ring ... show more
