  • Long boot up time/poor designed remote
Style: Radio
It takes quite a while for this radio to boot-up. I use it in my home stereo and use a separate remote control to turn the entire power to the unit on and off. Because the remote won't turn the radio on! You have to do it manually and that is why I give their remote control a meager 1 star. Besides that it is a good radio. Two major flaws in my opinion, but the advantages out way them. ... show more

  • Great product with one minor issue.
Style: Radio
This is a very good, high quality, dependable product. If you purchase it you will not be disappointed in regards to those qualities. However, it is not portable and does not use remote. There is only one issue that would be a problem for some and no problem for others. Every time this radio is powered up it has to download the software. No doubt this is designed to keep it updated. However, if you start your car (power up radio), you are going to wait up to 2 minutes for it to play. Sometimes it’s quicker. If you are going a short distance it’s annoying - you may travel most of the distance before the radio plays. On the other hand, if you typically drive longer distances and/or longer time (in traffic) this is of little concern. It’s a great radio except that potential issue for some drivers. Yes - I would buy it again. ... show more

  • Very good radio

I like everything about the radio but it doesn’t come with a remote which would make it easier for me to use since I have put it in my truck 🚛

  • Poorly constructed
Style: Radio
Do not plan to take this unit in and out. The multi pin connector in unit is only soldered in and eventually breaks loose. Unit will begin to shutdown and restart more and more frequently as you go down road.

  • Better off with the SiriusXM App
Style: Radio
I bought this for use in my car. The antenna is very spotty. It gets a reception for a couple minutes, buffers, then gets a reception, and seems like it is bouncing all over the place. I then bought a wireless JetPack from Verizon for sole purpose streaming over the Internet from my car. The problem with that strategy is there is no feature on the Tour to default to WiFi. If there is any signal at all, no matter how weak or bouncy it is, the device automatically reverts back to satellite signal and continues to buffer every few seconds. I removed the satellite antenna from my vehicle and wrapped it in aluminum foil, because if you disconnect the antenna all together, it won’t work at all. This tactic works well enough, but if I were going to stream over WiFi, I don’t even need the device, because I can do that with my phone with more channel options. The channel selection is okay if you’re just looking for music or something popular, but if you want to listen to a specific channel, such as a ballgame’s broadcast, you’re out of luck, because you can’t dial in like that. You only get the generic options that the Tour comes pre-installed with on its menu screen. I could see this device being more useful in a home system or stationary location, but if you’re looking to maximize your listening options with reliable satellite service, this is not the droid you are looking for. ... show more
