    • Do not sleep on this lens
Viltrox became my go-to lens since I started my Sony APS-C journey (A6700 and ZVE-10Mark2). I am using this lens for VLOGS, Streaming and any YouTube talking head video content. Do no sleep on this lens, I would take this over 16mm wide angle as at times that's too wide for Vlogs and this isn't talked about enough (my own opinion). Focus breathing on this is very very minimal and there is a whole break down of this lens on Christopher Frost - YouTube channel I would recommend watching as he goes over the entire lens bokeh, vignetting and build quality. This lens comes with me everywhere I go and I would purchase this again in a heart beat. I think this lens is a steal at $299. I like the photos it gets, it's very lightweight, feels well built and even looks nice on the camera. I could give it 5 stars but I hate the adjustable aperture ring. I will probably never use it and have already bumped it out of auto a couple of times. Not a deal breaker at all, just annoying. This little lens goes all the way to 1.4 just like the sigma trio (16, 30, 56). I would still give the Sigmas the edge in sharpness but this lens is still nice. ... show more

    • Super Sharp Optics and really well made
Very sharp lens with good contrast and nice overall rendering. Metal construction including a metal lens hood. Focus is fast and accurate. It costs much less than the almost ten year old and slightly slower Sony Zeiss 24mm 1.8. This newer Viltrox is just as sharp and has great color, better focusing performance than the Zeiss and a physical aperture ring to boot! Great Value! ... show more

    • Good value, solid lens.
Great value lens. Nice fast aperture. Solid metal build. 35mm equiv on APSC. the only thing I don't like is that it is too easy to jar the aperture ring. I'd rather have a lens without one since we can control the aperture in camera anyways. But for the price I won't complain too much.

    • Has issues "speaking" to my SonyA7iii
As you shoot with it, it sometimes locks the camera (Sony A7iii) up. I thought it was the camera at first and then the memory card. Turns out the issue only happens when using this lens. I don't use it much since I can't depend on it when I shoot things I can't pause(events, sports etc).
