Great purchase! It paired with my Bluetooth automatically. The default built-in speakers were pretty good. It has ports in the back to also plug in wired speakers if you wish. It plays 45 records also. Its not too heavy to carry around. It doesn't take up much storage space. Its about the size of a small briefcase. It has an auto-stop feature that causes it to stop spinning after it reaches the end of the record. The only thing that I wasn't expecting is that the arm isn't automatic. You need to manually put it on the record and manually put it back. However, it does have the little raise/lower lever that gently lowers the arm so you don't drop the needle on the record too harshly. You just position the needle above the track you want to play and lower the lever and it gently sets the needle straight down. The arm has a little lock clip to hold the arm secure when not in use. The unit did come with one spare needle cartridge. PRO TIP: If you don't already have a record collection and you want some inexpensive "test" records. Your local Goodwill store might have some. The sound is great, I love the color! I would say it is a little pricey since parts look/feel a little cheap.. I wasn’t looking for something incredible and necessarily long lasting, I just wanted something pink that played my records and this definitely was perfect for me!

The holidays are coming up and one of the parties I will be hosting is 'Rock N' Roll Roots'. What better way than to spin some vinyl? I wanted a portable player than has a certain fondness to it BUT will be gentle on the records. I also wanted some new gadgets like blue tooth and connectivity. OK. Read the manual and played with all the buttons. A decent enough build for the money. We need power! So what we have here is a cheap wall wart with appropriate power plug. Hopefully the platter's RPM stays consistent. What shall we listen to? How about 'The Beatles'? YES! First I played Please Please Me 33 1/3 RPM. Volume half way. Tracked the whole side with no skips. Cool. I'll need to check tone arm weight later and see how many grams it's putting on the needle. Second let's spin up a 45 RPM. Middle slider switch half way for 45, volume middle. Let her rip! No skips, jumps and the volume is decent in a quiet environment. Grade: A- Supplying power at parties and such might prove a challenge. This appears to be a rugged little suitcase record player. Pretty decent connectivity options. If you want it LOUD then it's one of those 'Bring Your Own Bluetooth Speakers' parties. I'm very satisfied with this purchase. Worked flawlessly out of the box. I'll be DJing in my socks and rockin' out to ROCK N' Victrola! Update: OK it bugged me that sitting the record player down on the connections could cause damage, so I bought some bumper feet. Works Great! The player sits flat and has protection. It doesn't subtract from the aesthetics since the bumpers are on the back hinges. ... show more

This is record player is remenisent of childhood toy from the 60's, but with modern sound technology. Unit is well made and seems durable. Sound quality is good considering the smallish speakers but not exceptional. Note that it must be plugged in; it is not battery powered. Comes with an extra stylis which is a nice touch. Because of the delicate stylis, it would not be suitable for small children. 4-star only because sound quality is as expected for small speakers, and while very portable, it is not cordless. ... show more

Seen this item and thought it would be perfect for a budget entry level record player. First glance and for the price and style thought it would fit nice around my desk setup. However when I got this item I noticed the box looked like it boxed. So that was the first sign of "oh nah" but then opened it and noticed the packaging was all over the place (cords out of plastic and looked slightly worn from age or used) and the player itself didn't look "secure" even though its being housed between two milk carton like box's to keep it in "place". When I took it out of this milk carton I noticed the parts holding the brief case open was broken and the screws came out and damaged the case. This made the case impossible to close and open the way it should (I tried to fix myself but the screws are not long enough and would just pop back out or damage the back part of the case more). One of the speakers also came dented in making the overall device look ugly. The Device still worked as far as playing music (only tried on Bluetooth and haven't tried BT out for Vinyl) and doesn't sound terrible for older tracks but the sound quality could be way better even for the price its set at combined with the lack of quality in the device from internal to external. Its a cool little record player that I could see being sold at the dollar store or tree at one point. But as a entry record player or something budget.. I would just save and spend more or buy something different in the same price range because there is an risk buying this product due to the way its built I can see a lot of people receiving ones that are damaged like mine or DOA. ... show more
