Humidifiers offer great relief during the winter months when dry skin is an issue. It also helps you breathe a little better when you're suffering from a cold. First off, the 1.2 gallon humidifier is quite large. Having the large tank is nice so you don't have to refill the tank so often. Removing the water tank from the unit is as simple as pulling up and removing it. Filling the tank is easy thanks to it's large cover. You have your basic turn style knob to adjust the intensity of the mist. One of the main selling points of this unit is that there's a small compartment on the bottom front of the base unit. You can drop a vicks vapopad. These small pads are one time uses, and come in different scents, but all of them still have that familiar minty vicks smell. Initially the smell is nice and soothing, but after you remove the used vapopad, there's a faint lingering smell of the vapopad, and that smell isn't as pleasant. I’ve been using this for about a month now and really enjoy it! It’s pretty quiet and I only have to fill it every couple of days. The opening makes it super easy to clean since it’s pretty large.

This is a very nice item. The order came and I was having a problem with it making a noise. I contacted the seller and they sent another one right away. It does not make any noise at all and I use it every night. It is well worth the money spent on it.

This is our second one, we bought one for my son’s room and this one is for ours. Follow the instructions on sanitizing and disinfecting and invest in the little fish to make your life easier. This really helps us regularly and it’s really helpful when you’re sick with the Vicks vapo-steam stuff.

My package box came pretty beat up, but upon opening the product wasn't damaged. I immediately rinsed and filled it (easy). I have a couple other models of Vicks humidifiers with the same/similar opening (on the bottom), and sometimes they're extremely hard to 'unlock'. I also like this version over the other models because figuring out placement onto the base is simple due to the odd shape of the unit. When I first turned it on, I didn't notice any mist coming out, but my husband convinced me to leave it on for a while because it is so quiet (which is awesome). I'm glad he did, because after a while the mist was visible and it has been running fine ever since. I also like the mist adjustment control - I like being able to have a range on a dial and not just a couple of choices. We've had it about a month now.
