Description

He's prince charming. Just not hers. I have a secret. I stole a heart, or rather a marriage contract. It wasn’t mine to own, to look at or to even consider. But it was there for the taking so I took it. Huge mistake. Ronan Astor is a nobility in this world. Arrogant player. Heartless bastard. Vicious prince. Now, he’s out to destroy me. What he doesn’t know is that I’m out to destroy him too. My name is Teal Van Doren, and I’m where princes go to die. Vicious Prince is part of Royal Elite Series but could be read on its own. For a better understanding of the world, you might want to read the previous books first. Read more

  • My favorite couple of the series!
Format: Kindle
Vicious Prince by Rina Kent is officially my favorite book in the Royal Elite Series, and Ronan Astor and Teal VanDoren are absolutely my favorite couple so far. This book is a dark college romance filled with intense high-stakes drama. It features some of my absolute favorite tropes, including enemies-to-lovers, an arranged engagement, and a forced proximity plot that keeps you hooked. The tension between them starts on page one and never lets up. The characters are beautifully complex, flawed, and completely captivating. Ronan seems like a charming goofball on the outside, but underneath his smile is a deeply loyal and possessive anti-hero. Teal is a quiet, fierce hurricane who hides behind a fortress, making her the perfect match to balance out his reckless energy. Their explosive chemistry and toxic-yet-addictive banter kept me reading all night long. The romance is raw, heavy with dark pasts, and incredibly passionate. Their deep bond is perfectly captured when he tells her, "I don't need people anymore. I just need you". I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves intense, emotional dark romances with unforgettable couples. It is a well-deserved five-star read. ... show more

  • 4-stars: 'Vicious Prince' by Rina Kent
Format: Kindle
I fell down the rabbit hole of Rina Kent’s books last year, and I’m more determined than ever to read her entire backlist and eventually catch up with her new releases. Right now, I’m working my way through the Royal Elite series, which I’m almost finished with. I’ve really enjoyed this Bully Romance series, and it’s bittersweet to be nearing the end of the books. Vicious Prince is the fifth installment in the Royal Elite series and is technically an interconnected standalone, but trust me: you’ll want to read these books in order. You’ll understand the world and its characters better. This time, it’s Ronan and Teal’s book, and I loved these two damaged souls who definitely were meant to be together. These two had a lot in common, and they didn’t even realize it. When Teal agrees to an arranged marriage with Ronan, Ronan tries everything to have her back out of it because he’ll never be tied down with one woman. However, once Ronan gets to know Teal, he realizes that no one else matters but Teal, especially when he knows she’s harboring secrets that he’s determined to find out. Teal, though, has a reason for her madness of marrying Ronan, and it all boils down to revenge for what happened to her and her brother years ago when they were younger. Rina Kent kept me on my toes with Vicious Prince through the back-and-forth dynamic of Teal and Ronan’s relationship. These two knew exactly how to push each other’s buttons, and I loved how Teal handled Ronan, who initially came off as a player. Everything changes when they finally get together, and their chemistry becomes undeniably steamy. I appreciated how Rina built suspense around Teal’s true motives for wanting to marry Ronan. My heart went out to her when I discovered what had happened to her, and I understood her desire for revenge. Similarly, Ronan had his own painful past that he had been keeping secret, but he eventually opened up to Teal. This moment deepens their connection, revealing how much they actually have in common. I really loved Ronan and Teal as a couple; they felt perfect for one another. In fact, they might just be one of my favorite pairs in the series. My only minor complaint is that the ending felt a bit rushed. Other than that, it was another enjoyable installment in the series. I give it four stars and look forward to reading Cole’s book next, although I really don’t want this series to come to an end. Single/Dual POV: Dual POV. Standalone or Part of Series: It’s an interconnected standalone in the Royal Elite Series, but best read in order. Would I recommend this book? Yes. I recommend this book to readers who love reading bully romances. Check the TW before reading this book/series. What to Expect: 🖤Bully Romance 🖤Arranged Marriage 🖤Enemies to Lovers 🖤Damaged/Broken Hero & Heroine ... show more

  • Favourite Couple in this series
Format: Kindle
Rina Kent always surprises me with the past her characters have! There is always something new to think about, some new difficulty or hurdle to leap over. It is always interesting to see how two people who did not know each other in the past are somehow connected in the future. Thea is the quiet and introvert foster sister of Elsa. Just observing her - the messages on her clothes, the makeup and gothic way of dressing, the books she reads - people would think she is weird. Why does she behave so anti-social? Ronan, the fourth horseman - Death - at RES school is the one always ready to throw a party at his home. His parents are never around, so there is always a party. He is never alone, his guys or some girl on his arm. Is there a reason why he needs so much attention? Two extreme opposites are brought together in Vicious Prince and the chemistry is interesting from the initial contact. They seem to be just right when they are together. The ying to the yang, that make relationships sizzle. But is there something that might keep them apart? The twists in Vicious Prince will have you turning the page until the end!! Thea and Ro are my new favourite couple in this series!!! Reasons I enjoyed this book: Easy-to-read, Haunting, Happily Ever After, Page-turner, Steamy, Tear-jerker, Tragic, Twisted, Unpredictable, Wonderful characters ... show more

  • “The little girl in Birmingham, remember her?”
Format: Kindle
This was a true 5 star read. I might argue one of the best Rina Kent’s book (rival with god of fury). The plot was well thought out and captivating, tackling serious themes. The sex scenes were just enough and true to the characters and their story. My favourite scene was of Ronan contemplating necrophillia and getting concerned when he saw Teal’s reaction. The characters were great! Teal and Ronan were beautiful characters, mind body and soul. I loved being their heads. Rina loves to write villains and it’s clear Teal was the villain and I loved her. I just loved so many moments in this book - Ronan obsessively texting Teal 😭🥹 the vulnerability was amazing! - Teal and Ronan at the smex club! - Cole walking in on them and being a creep 🤣 - Every Cole and Ronan interaction!!! - Teal’s letter to Ronan 😭😭😭 - The ending ❤️💋 ... show more

  • A fabulous addition to a edgy series
Format: Kindle
Viscious Prince is the fifth installment in the "Royal Elite" series and I have to say that this author is becoming so addicting. I absolutely adored everything about this book here and it was so delightful to read. I was so intrigued to see where it would be taken for me but it really delivered in all the ways that I expected and more. I really adored the characters here and finally getting Ronan's book was so delightful. He is probably the more entertaining out of the group, and I felt like we got to see so many more hidden depths to his character. He was matched up with the most unlikely girl ever haha but honestly once we get to the details behind her facade, you really get to see so much more depths to her that I really enjoyed. There is so much depth of emotion and abuse that is focused on. I really enjoyed the manner in which the author displayed this portion of the story. Its built as a solid mystery layered upon the romance, and seeing the pieces of it all come together just makes for the best crescendo of an ending. If you are fans of Rina Kent, edgier romance and a good mystery balanced with the story, then you definitely need to grab this one up! ... show more

  • Teal & Ronan - PASS
Format: Kindle
Vicious Prince by Rina Kent is a book that I enjoyed for the most part, but it didn't quite hit the mark for me due to the characters of Teal and Ronan. While the storyline itself was intriguing, these two characters didn't resonate with me as much as the others in the series. From the very beginning, when we first saw Teal in Twisted Kingdom, I found it difficult to connect with her. One of the reasons for my lack of connection with Teal and Ronan could be the fact that we know the least about them compared to the characters from the prior books. As a result, I didn't feel as invested in their journey as I did with the other couples. Perhaps if the book had been longer, allowing for more development and exploration of their characters, I might have been able to connect with them on a deeper level. That being said, I did appreciate seeing a different side to both Teal and Ronan in Vicious Prince. It was interesting to witness their transformation from enemies to lovers and to witness their growth throughout the story. Rina Kent's writing skillfully portrays their complex relationship and the challenges they face as they navigate their arranged marriage. While the characters of Teal and Ronan didn't resonate with me personally, I can still recognize the strengths of the book. Rina Kent's storytelling and ability to create tension and intrigue are evident throughout the pages. The enemies-to-lovers trope is executed well, and the plot keeps you engaged and wanting to know what happens next. In conclusion, Vicious Prince is a book that I enjoyed to a certain extent, but the characters of Teal and Ronan didn't capture my heart like the others in the series. The storyline is intriguing and the enemies-to-lovers dynamic is well done, but I couldn't fully connect or fall in love with these characters. However, if you are a fan of the series and enjoy arranged marriage tropes, it is still worth giving this book a read. ... show more

  • Trauma- So good
Format: Kindle
Wow just wow. Talk about trauma and the fog that comes with it. The hidden insides you don’t share with the world so they can’t see the cracks of your soul. The fifth book in the Royal Elite series is making it hard to decide if Elsa and Aiden’s story is better than the Vicious Prince story between Ronan and Teal. Rina Kent did a masterpiece with this storyline and plot. Although you never truly knew what the trauma was in Ronan and Teal you knew it was connected but not what actually happened until the end of the book. The book kept you waiting for that to be revealed I loved this storyline. Teal was not like the others. She dressed more grungy and kept a lot of things hidden. Her trauma made her shut off all emotions but when her PTSD kicked in you knew it was bad. Ronan on the other hand was the fashionable funny guy who very rarely showed any cracks. He was the life of the party. Ronan was to be in arranged marriages and Teal volunteered when Ronans father and Teals father were heading into a business partnership. Elsa was originally going to be that person but Teal said she would to help her dad but also because she had her own plan. It was for revenge but who was she taking revenge on? Ronan wanted no part of being engaged to Teal and would do anything to stop it but Teal was not going to back out. They hated each other until they didn’t. There is a lot of childhood trauma in this storyline. If you have triggers be cautious. I would recommend this book to all who love dark or twisted romance novels. It is a great storyline that needs to be read and just a summary to be told. Read it you won’t regret it. • Enemies to Lovers with a Side of Arranged Marriage
Format: Kindle
"I want him to kiss me, to bite my lip and draw blood. I want him to devour me like this is the last day on earth and I’m the only one he wants to spend it with." This book in the Royal Elite is a masterpiece . Ronan the next Earl of Astor, in the line of the House of Lord's is the biggest playboy in the Four Horsemen, but he met his match with Teal Van Doren. She wasn't interested in his money, his popularity, she had a secret agenda she wasn't sharing even after the arranged engagement was announced. Ronan stalked her in a tame way ..to a sex club and became her match for the night and from that moment they both fell over the cliff for each other ...it was a Point of no Return. The Spotify soundtrack that goes along with these books is 👨🍳💋 Rina Kent goes full throttle with child trauma and childhood sexual assault for our main characters, and mental health healing together at the end. I really would have loved these couples to have had one book in university together. So much happened for all of them , their found family is possibly the best ever written .The royal elite has been added to my fave NA dark romance series of all time , and Rina Kent is definitely in my top 5 auto read authors ... show more
