  • Very heavy
Style: 15x15 White
This heat press is very heavy so consider that with deliver and set up. The press is well packaged sitting in a styrafoam surround. There were no dents, scratches etc. The press is ready to go out of the box, no parts to put together or attach. Setting od the temp and time was easy and straight forward. The adjusting for pressure will take a bit of practice. It heated well and my print went on the garment with no problem. ... show more

  • Returned
Style: 15x15inch 2in1
I think the product is probably just fine. But I received it, plugged it in, and it would not heat up. Something must’ve been wrong with it. I did not have time to deal with it. I had already ordered another product and it was here before this one shipped back out. I didn’t wanna take a chance on getting another one that didn’t work because I had a timeline. ... show more

  • Solidly built, but temperature control is really wonky
Style: 2in1
The price (purchased when it was $85) and physical build quality are positive characteristics. The problem arises with the temperature control. The temperature can rise 15-20 degrees above the set point before coasting back down. As an engineer, I recognize the cause of this problem. The problem is that the controller is a bang-bang (on and off) controller. I plugged the unit into a watt-meter, so I can confirm that either the device is drawing 800 watts (full power), or 0 watts (no power). The turn-on temperature is 3 degrees below the set temp and the turn-off temp is the set-temperature. So it is pulling 800 watts up to the point where it stops drawing power. I measured the time between turn-on and turn-off to be approx 30 seconds. After the turn-off, the temperature continues to coast upwards even though it is drawing no power. There are several remedies to this problem. First, use proportional control (the power draw is proportional to how far away you are from the set point--don't put the pedal to the metal (800 watts) when you are close to the set point). Maybe proportional control is unrealistic for such an inexpensive device? Alternative fix: don't make the turn-on point 3 degrees below the set point. This would decrease the on-time cycle to something less than the observed 30 seconds. A shorter on-time means less coasting above the set-point. Were the engineers afraid of limit-cycling? That isn't the issue--it takes minutes for it to go from turning on the heating element to the next time it turns on. Can anyone tell me how to change to turn-on set point? I would gladly change it myself if I knew how, Anyway, I ended up keeping it because I could predict this wonky behavior. I just wait for a period after the temperature starts falling from the peak before actually pressing. I noticed that my unit didn't have the snap switch that has baffled many because of lack of instructions. My unit automatically detects the external device (in this case, the cap press) and routes power to it. Somewhere, someone did a hardware update. They probably didn't retest the system after the update, or they should have detected the temperature control problem. Your humble beta-tester. ... show more

  • Vevor Heat Press
Style: 15x15 Inch - 8 in 1
The heat press was very hard to open once I closed it to sublimate. The biggest problem was Vevor's customer service. Since I purchased it from Amazon and not directly from Vevor, Vevor didn't answer any of my questions. They referred me back to Amazon. When I called Vevor again, they were so busy the phone just hung up. The next time I called, I was the 30th person in line to be helped. When I called on 6/11/23, I was the 81st person in line to be helped. I won't buy from Vevor again because their customer service is !@#$%. ... show more

  • Just okay
Style: 15x12 Inch - 8 in 1
Didn’t come with good directions/instructions. The timer has never worked. I usually just use the time on my Apple Watch. It does seem to heat well. I use this for crafting mostly using HTV. I don’t believe this would hold up to daily use.

  • It's a Heat Press so it Works for its Purpose
Style: 15x15inch 2in1
I was excited to purchase this, but after waiting a month to receive because the first order got lost in transit, it's just a basic starter heat press. Definitely didn't receive what is pictured here, but everything seems to work okay. I wouldn't swing the top all the way back because it does not balance and will lean back on you. Yes, I added the suction feet, but it doesn't seem to make a difference. The monitor attaches pretty flimsy and beeps all the time so I never know if my time is up or it's just beeping to beep. The manual it comes with doesn't seem to match the actual model and the hat press instructions are ridiculous. I don't plan on using it for hats. Overall, it takes forever to heat up, but so far I've been able to make a few t-shirts with no issues. ... show more

  • I wish it had a slide out bottom plate and there was more space between top and bottom plates
Style: 5 IN 1
I ordered this after borrowing a similar one from a friend to try out. I didn't know much about heat presses before buying this, and thought that they all had a slide out lower platform, such as the one I borrowed. Unfortunately this one does not. I get that the arm swings away so you can place your item on the bottom plate and then swing the arm back. But the distance between the upper platen and the lower platform is not very great, unless you ease the pressure way up. Thus it can be difficult to keep the shirt positioned correctly when swinging the arm back around and occasionally as the heat floats over the top it would cause the deigns to curl somewhat and then bump them as it was moving, completely messing up the positioning of the design. I personally would prefer one with both a slide out and a swing arm. Otherwise the machine functions fine, but it would make it easier to use if the upper plate lifted higher without having to decrease the pressure almost completely. ... show more
