The winch controller which sets on top of the winch has 1inch by 2 inch open gap in it but this company still has the nerve to call it water proof. Also the legs that hold the winch down with are not level on or the legs and is about 1/4 inch higher then the others it will break the winch if the bolts are installed. I have bought a lot or winches in the past but not a vevor I read the bad reviews but bought one anyway and it was a bad mistake.now even though I was sent a worthless winch which can not be used .and lied to I am going to be forced to pay the return shipping. I bought this winch. It did not winch up when it was placed on a load. Motor sounded like it was turning put it would not pull. Been four months now going back and forth to sent it back for refund or another winch with no result. They will not stand behind their product. They were sent video of what it was doing under a load and that clutch was in correct position to no avail. Stay away from this product unless you want to throw away close to 400.00 dollars ... show more
