    • Nothing but trouble!
My granddaughter was all excited about getting this machine for her birthday. We have had nothing but trouble with it since we bought it. Every time she tries to stitch something the thread is constantly breaking. We have tried everything from adjusting the tension to using a good quality singer needles and good quality thread, which have not helped at all. There really is no way to even oil this machine. She can’t even so a complete seam without the thread breaking. It has been very frustrating for her as well as me. I hope this machine hasn’t crushed a little girls excitement to learn how to because of a poorly made machine. It’ll probably end up in the trash and I’ll buy her a decent machine. ... show more

I bought this as my Brother sewing machine broke and I didn’t want to spend all the money again. Within the first day 2 of the needles broke which wasn’t a big deal I just replaced them with the extras it had but then it kept unthreading over and over again .. I’d test it .. it seemed good and then again out of nowhere the needle would stay down and the thread was missing from it again. Extremely frustrating when you know it’s supposed to take about 2 minutes to set up but continuously having to stop and redoing every few seconds is absolutely annoying .. something that would usually take 5 minutes took almost 30-45. Just spend money on a better one ... show more

I don't sew very often, so I got this machine thinking it would be very simple and easy to use for basic things like hemming.... I have NEVER had so much trouble with a machine before. The thread was constantly breaking and/or jamming up inside the machine. The stitches were horribly uneven and skipping everywhere. THREE needles bent while stitching a basic zigzag for a hemline. I spent hours fiddling with the tension, triple checking to make sure I was threading correctly, cleaning bits of broken thread from the inside of the machine, removing and replacing needles, trying different stitches, etc. And I still don't have a finished hemline ... show more
