I didn’t know where to measure to get the correct size but the listing made that easy by explaining that the measurement is made at the arms, not the fabric. When it arrived I was pleasantly surprised that it was sized better than the one installed at the factory. It’s not a huge difference but every few inches helps when it’s raining. The instructions are quite thorough. Some years ago I replaced an awning, with no instructions, only to have the rewind mechanism uncoil. That was a miserable experience, and one that Vevor helps you avoid in advance, with proper directions! I didn’t use a micrometer to measure the thickness but the old awning (less than 8 years old) has two very thin layers, whereas Vevor feels the same thickness and is one layer. The edges are bonded, not sewn, but I don’t really know which is best. Combining these factors with the listing price of $69 compels me to recommend this item. 👍 ... show more

Initial impressions when pulling this from the box: the material is thick and seems to be well made, boasts double stitching. It is a vinyl product so don’t be concerned with the creases from the fold, the heat will take these out. Open outside!!! The product is very strong smelling, like a beachball/pool liner, and may make you nauseous if not vented. The brand is plastered nice and large on the bottom valance corner, not a fan. I don’t mind the branding, but make it more subtle. I haven’t gotten around to the install , but the quality feels sturdy. The measurements are spot on, thanks to the instructions of measuring provided on the listing. I’m actually excited to install it and see how it looks and works. Being vinyl, I plan on unfolding and leaving in the sun for a couple hours to allow the creases to be relaxed out. I’m hoping this will assist with proper tension upon install. ... show more

This RV awning from VEVOR is extremely good quality for the price. The listing is very helpful in explaining how to measure the awning based on our existing camper awning. The instructions on how to properly install the awning are also very clear. In my area we are currently in tornado season so the 50 to 60 mph winds have not given us a calm day to install this awning. I have unboxed the awning, checked it for size as well as any possible problems and quality. Just like the listing shows the VEVOR brand is on the front right of the flap. I knew this one I ordered, but it is much larger than I expected. I’m not a big fan of advertising for someone when I am paying for their product. Based on the huge logo, I am rating this product four stars. Our old awning had dry rotted, and there was no way to save it. This will save us many dollars and keep our lawn chairs and outdoor cooking area dry during the inevitable downpours that happen wherever we go camping. I hope my thoughts, opinions and photos help someone trying to decide if they want to purchase and install a new awning on their camper or RV. ... show more

This is a beautiful awning. They make it easy to install. We did run into some hiccups but that had to do with the removal of the old one. It comes with the cord that goes in the top of the roller which I am thankful for since the old one was cracked and worn. The fabric is thick and better well made. What I am most happy about is it being three layers of strongness and protection. Where I live, when it rains it rains hard accompanied by high wind. I ordered this to replace an 8 year old awning cover that has been on it's last leg for a bit and was starting to just fall apart. This new one fit perfectly and looks so much better and does not leak which is the most important. I installed this on a half-electric/half-manual awning and depending on which type you have I would suggest looking some videos up on the internet as there are no instructions provided. Besides, depending on the type depends on how you get the ends off to slide the new awning on. I would recommend two people to install this but the worst part was getting the old one off. Overall, this seems to be a great replacement and smells initially exactly like a pool liner and it is pretty thick. It does have some creases in it, but I left it up for a few days and those went away. I really think this is priced well and am so glad that I ordered it. ... show more

I was new to long-term RV use for a job and not used to proper care, so went to work one day and left my identical awning all the way out with tie-downs not installed. A freak wind happened that day. My awning was flopping around due to stretching along a line of maximum stress when I came "home". Nothing ripped, and I still used it less far out when home. It will make one pretty, long lasting tarp. Live and learn. I had no hesitation replacing with the exact, same awning from Vevor. I will use it when I'm present, as now I've paid for my education. You'll find the correct primary color matches similar color schemes for your RV and looks really good. Remove two screws, slip out the old and in with the new. Replace two screws.
