I put this up at home to try it out before camping. Was a little tricky first go around. On my camping trip it was a breeze. This tent is awesome. I can't say enough good about it. Ventilation was great, easy to get up and down, great shade via the overhang.

We originally wanted the Gazelle tent, but after trying (and failing) to get our hands on one due to constant sellouts, we purchased the Timber Ridge pop-up tent on a whim—and out of necessity. I’m so glad we did! This tent truly exceeded our expectations in every way. Setup and takedown are a breeze—we had it up and ready in under 5 minutes, and taking it down is just as simple. It’s perfect for those who don’t want to wrestle with poles and instructions, especially after a long day of travel or outdoor fun. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality and durability of the materials. It held up great on various types of terrain we camped on—from soft grass to rocky, uneven ground. The structure feels solid, and it gives a good sense of protection from the elements. Inside, the tent is shockingly spacious. We fit a camping table and two chairs in the front room with ease, and in the main sleeping area we had a queen-sized cot with two dog beds and still had space to move around comfortably. The storage pockets inside were a bonus we didn't know we'd utilize so much—great for organizing small gear. Airflow is another win. The ventilation is excellent with the windows and screens, keeping the inside cool and comfortable even during warmer days. All in all, this tent turned out to be a fantastic purchase—easy, sturdy, roomy, and comfortable. Pros: Nice overlanding tent. Sets up really quickly and is well ventilated. It’s also huge. With the pop up hubs it is a much bigger tent than a dome tent with the same footprint. It’s not all that heavy but it’s for car camping and not backpacking. The bag that comes with it is sufficient but not beefy. Additions/Cons: Only comes with one cinching strap. With a couple more getting it back in the bag is way easier. Easily solved but it would have been nice if it came with three instead of one. The stakes that come with it are a joke. It’s annoying that they waste your time providing such poor quality stakes. This is a huge tent and a very big target for wind so you definitely want to get some upgraded stakes. I also got a heavy canvas tarp for a footprint to protect the floor and keep it cleanish. With the non square shape, it’s somewhat hard to find something for a footprint and it would be nice if the company offered one. I really like the value that this tent provides as I was between this and the Gazelle T4 Plus. This isn’t as heavy or as heavy duty materials as the Gazelle so I intend to baby it a bit to keep it in good condition, but on the flip side of that it weighs less and has a smaller bag for packing in the car. Have only used this once so far, but it was incredibly easy to set up. Definitely took more like 5 minutes to fully set up, but that’s including reading the directions and attaching the rain fly and guy lines. There is so much room inside the tent with plenty of storage pockets. Loved using the front part of the tent as a screen room with the sides rolled up and the windows made the inside feel extra spacious and breezy. It even survived a massive thunderstorm with tornado producing conditions, without leaking, and without anything flying away. The next time we set it up we will be laying down a tarp first because the bottom of the tent did allow some water to get absorbed up from the ground. But other than that, and the fact that this tent is incredibly heavy, we love this tent. I don’t really have an opinion on the breaking down of the tent and putting it back into the bag as our trip was cut abruptly short by the appearance of thousands of stable flies brought in by the storm. From what I remember, it came down pretty quickly, but out of pure desperation as I was being covered in flies, we shoved that thing as best we could back in the bag and somehow got it to zip up. Looking forward to cleaning out all the dead flies the next time we go camping… ... show more

Easy to set up and take down. Would have love to keep it since we had a similar type of tent 7 years ago but it was stolen BUT when we were packing up the tent after 1 use, we noted the tarp material that serves as the floor of the tent had holes where the support structure came into contact. We had set the tent up on a large heavy duty tarp on very loomy soil. We figure our tent had been previously use and whomever had it had dragged it around on concrete or gravel causing the holes. These holes allowed a ton of moisture to get into the tent as we were camping at the California coast with an abundance of fog. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I've been wanting a hub tent! This tent was so easy to pop up (5 min) and just as easy to put away (5 min)! But if you factor in laying down a tarp under tent, hammering the stakes, putting on rainfall (I haven't tried putting on yet, I wanted to see the stars) and the canopy, I'd say an extra 20 min. But still can be easily done by one person. Inside the tent is plenty, I fit 2 cots, a 3" diameter round table in between cots and our bags fit perfect under the cots. Plenty of space. Lots of vented windows, there's 2 doors, but really only one was used. I placed a mat under the cots, to protect the tent floor. I think I'll bring a small box to place our shoes into for inside the tent instead of leaving our shoes outside. What a great buy on prime day! ... show more
