Brackets are nice. I would recommend buying nice 4x4’s to start as the ones I used were fairly cheap. They fit well but one of the seams in the bracket split. There are enough screw though that it wasn’t a big deal. Made a great shaded spot to BBQ and stay out of the sun.

Brackets are perfectly sized and easy to put together. Screws were strong and no issue with them. The wood wasn't uniformly size but was able to shave off enough, but not the brackets fault for that. Also bought the corner brackets from this company and definitely great value for what you get. Also like the way screw color looks with the black colored brackets.

I wasted two days putting together a pergola. The problem started when the six by sixes didn’t fit into the brackets so I used a thickness planer to shave down the ends to fit it in. Then after much effort, setting for level footings and hosting the six by sixes into place the sway on the pergola cracked open the same on the top connectors.. I was planning to make this structure for my kids to climb on with various accessories, but it’s clearly not strong enough for safe enough for that. At best this might be Ok to just have an open structure or some wood slats on the top, but I would go with the 4 x 4 option because the six by sixes are too heavy, not only to construct but also the brackets are not heavy duty enough to support them, especially with high winds. The screws also don’t appear to be wood screws. They’re very fine thread and I wouldn’t rely on those overtime either. I will be taking mine apart and throwing out the brackets.

By far the best built bracket made! I bought this as an extension to a project. These are SOLID and heavy and very well made (in comparison to the others I purchased which had the worst welding job I’ve ever seen!) The only issue I had is that these are made to withstand the weather.. and one was slightly bent but not enough to make it not fit. It fit like a glove! But it did have scratches all over it which I simply covered with truck bed liner and called it good. If you’re building anything with these definitely have one or two more people as I built mine in a day with one extra help and it had me beat for a week. Easy to assemble over all and it functions how I needed it to!

Just installed these on our new pergola and they work great. They look beautiful and seem very secure so far. Two gripes that keep this from being higher rated. 1. When installing the brackets with the provided screws, the seam where the rolled metal meets up split. Not too happy about that, but still seems secure and it's at the top so not highly visible. 2. The screws provided were not black. For the over all look, gold tone screws make the connections stand out too much. Black would have blended into the beautiful powder coat that is on the brackets. Also needed to try to get some extra screws and I am unable to find any like the originals. Over all I would still recommend these brackets - they are a beautiful cost effective way to create a pergola.
