  • Quality is nice
Size: 4 Inch
The media could not be loaded. The quality of the chuck is good, but bought a vevor brand wood lathe and had trouble getting the t bar to mount. Now I have this 4 inch 3jaw chuck that does not have the correct size t handle. I will post a video later. Update, I contacted vevor about the chuck key, and they quickly fixed the problem. If you have any issues, I recommend contacting them because I contacted Amazon about it and it went nowhere. ... show more

  • Nice, economical, chuck
Size: 6 Inch
I see no problem with this chuck. Since several reviews indicated a malfunction because of debris inside the chuck, I immediately disassembled it upon receipt. Disassembly was simple. One review stated the jaws didn't close evenly. I think those jaws were removed and were not reassembled in the correct order. I found one small chip inside which would have never caused a problem. The chuck was well oiled, wrapped in plastic, and packaged securely. I am in the process of turning the backing plate, so I can not yet attest as to the trueness of the jaws, but, I don't foresee a problem. The OD of the chuck is larger than 6". It measured 6.424". There is one plastic piece attached. It seems to be a "dust cover" on the back side and has no mechanical function. The jaws are numbered, (1,2,3) but, the chuck itself is not numbered. I plan to just number stamp it myself. I can see this chuck giving years of service. I feel I got a good deal. ... show more

  • VEVOR K11-100 Lathe Chuck
Size: 4 Inch
Would have given the product a much higher score, except for the item having arrived with the wrong size key (10 mm). The chuck's key socket is 8 mm. Contacted VEVOR, and they said that because the item was sold through Amazon that I should contact Amazon. So, let's see where that leads. Or do I just keep and modify the key to fit the socket? This is the problem with global marketplaces and supply chains. It just doesn't work for the individual. ... show more

  • You get what you pay for
Size: 6 Inch
Let's start with the positive: -160mm sc 3-jaw for under 100 bucks -accurately mated to my spindle flange adapter -holds the work .001" concentricity when tightening the three pinions evenly The Negative: -the mating surface finish was terrible. I had to dress several dings that created excessive runout. -Rust on the inside! I had to completely disassemble and clean. -full of un-deburred wire edges at every vertex. Bottom line: this quality is risky at best and should be expected at this price. You should expect to pay at least double from a reputable source. If the work concentricty and runout were looser, I would have sent it back. In this case I was willing to provide the TLC needed to make this an acceptable tool. ... show more

  • Best value
Size: 6 Inch
I used the 6” on a welding positioner I made and was able to get it within .002, which is just fine for what I need.

  • Ok for the price
Size: 5 Inch
It has .010 runout which is a little high, I hope it doesn’t cause me any serious problems.

  • It works
Size: 5 Inch
So, I have the 7x14 lathe with a 3 inch chuck. The through hole for the small chuck really limits things. This 5 inch with the adapted plate from little machine shop worked perfectly. I haven’t checked the runout yet, but it is very small and well within what I needed. Overall a great addition to my small lathe. ... show more

  • just what I needed.
Size: 6 Inch
I adapted this to fit an antique Southbend lathe. I inherited this from my father. The 4 jaw chuck worked for me for years but it took a lot of time to use . I had to make my own mount for this chuck and it came out great and the chuck is centered really nicely. I would have given it five stars but I had to disassemble the chuck and clean and lube it up to make it open and close smoothly. ... show more
