  • A powerhouse of a machine!
There's a lot to review with this Vevor Industrial Sewing Machine! While this is my first industrial machine, I've been sewing for 55 years and buying my own machines since I was 12 years old. I currently own a total 12 domestic sewing machines (each with different functions), but needed one with more power and speed. This machine looked like it would meet my needs, and it was in my budget. The table arrived first, and it took about 3 hours for DH and I to assemble it. The directions were a bit vague, which is why it took so long. (We since discovered several very detailed You tube videos that would have helped enormously.) The table top is made of wood and the legs are metal - both are very sturdy and arrived in perfect condition. I love the 32 inch measuring system printed on the front of the table. While we needed to drill the holes in the bottom of the table in order to assemble it, all the hardware we needed was included and worked appropriately. This is a solid, heavy duty table because it needs to hold the full weight of the sewing machine. It stands stably on the floor and has minimal vibration when I'm sewing at high speeds. A few days after the table arrived, I received the first sewing machine. Unfortunately, that one was broken. I got in touch with the seller that day and submitted pictures and a description of the machine. The people in Customer Service were professional and courteous throughout our messaging over several days. In the end, it was determined that the broken machine would be exchanged for a new one, and the replacement arrived quickly and in perfect condition! Because this machine does everything I hoped it would do, it earns the full 5 stars! On the first day, I tested the materials it would handle - from lightweight cottons to leather. The finer fabrics came out smoothly without puckers, and heavier fabrics came out just as pretty. The most impressive test was on a piece of leather that my walking foot machine could not handle - it wouldn't even pierce one layer of that leather. This Vevor machine sewed through 4 layers of that leather like it was butter! The included small, but powerful servo motor is the reason it can pierce such thick and dense material. Sewing speed is another huge advantage with this machine. I've found how to program it to reach 3700 stitches per minute, and I'm completing projects much faster than ever before. While I'm sewing, I'm winding bobbins - both functions are completed at the same time. I could go on for a long time about the performance of this sewing machine, but I'll give one final accolade: when I turn the machine off, the display stays lit for about 5 seconds and shows the word "Off", so there's no mental question later of "Did I turn it off?". My final assessment: Though there appears to be an issue with some machines being broken, the whole, undamaged, functional Vevor Industrial Sewing Machine is a very affordable, high quality machine that significantly exceeds the capabilities of domestic machines. ... show more

  • This sucker will run a straight stitch through a 2x4!
I love this machine! This sucker will run a straight stitch through a 2x4! OK, so not really, but it migh run one through a piece of 1/4 inch luan. I have been hoarding a 1940's Singer straight stitch commercial machine for nearly 40 years planning on restoring it to do the job that this job does out of the box. For the uninitiated, this is a heavy duty commercial straight stitch machine. It is a Chinese copy of the Juki DDL 5500 and uses all of the same parts EXCEPT THE MOTOR AND CONTROLLER. I believe the native brand is Two Lions. All Juki 5500 repair parts and accessories will fit this machine. I have upgraded the food retention to a quick change and purchased a bunch of specialty feet for it. Maximum Stitch Speed is 3800 Stiches Per Minutes which is nearly four times the speed of a top of the line Bernina. Fortunately, you can throttle down the max speed. I tend to run really heavy stock through this machine so I have it set to a max of 250 Stitches Per Minute most of the time. The machine has a pump oiler with a sump. I fear that it may not get enough lubrication at low speeds so at the beginning of each session, I max her out to 3800 Stitches per minute for 10 secs or so to oiler her up for use. This is one amazing machine and I highly reccomend it to anyone that needs a heavy duty machine. ... show more

  • Expect to build the whole base from scratch.
Missing pieces. Going to have to do some metal fabrication and make brackets that apparently don't come with the machine. I will also have to do that for the base of the machine because the board that it is supposed to sit in isn't cut correctly for the size of the machine and the plate barely hangs on and wants to fall through the center. The instructions are also awful and don't explain jack shiznit. Haven't even gotten it all together but I hope it runs well all said and done. Didn't expect such a project just to assemble the kit. What a joke. ... show more

  • Worth every cent!!
Color: Cream
It weighs a TON!! (Maybe get help to mount the machine) Cast iron, machined steel and bronze, steel bolts and screws, there is Not One "domestic" all plastic sewing machine sold -Singer, Brother, Viking, etc, that can match the Vevor Industrial Sewing Machine's strength and longevity. Three thousand seven hundred stitches a minute down to 200 spm, Wow! No confusing number of this or that switch dial-most never use but 2 or 3. Have a machine just for button holes but the rest? This machine will do the rest. ... show more

  • Buy It! That's it, that's all.
Color: Almond
I was so nervous when I placed my order, I read many reviews, reviewed several pictures and took a leap of faith. I am so thankful I did. I don't think assembly was terrible, it was actually quite easy. I watched the installation video's and it was a breeze. They was no damage, there were no missing parts, and it sew's beautifully. Its so quite, I'm happy with my purchase. I'm still shocked I got such a great product for basically pennies. If you're thinking of getting this machine too but the reviews are scaring you, buy it, buy it, buy it... you'll be happy you did. Thank me later. ... show more

  • Machine is great, instructions are terrible
For the price of this machine it is 10000% worth it. BUT be warned…the instructions to this are horrible. I suggest watching YouTube videos on the assembly but note that there are different variations of this machine so building it is basically trial and error. It shipped in two separate boxes, sewing machine in one and table in the other. I was missing two nuts that were needed for attaching the foot pedal. Thankfully I had a few laying around in my tool box and was able to make it work. Shipping was fast and the machine stitches beautifully. The oil did leak a little in the box but did not cause any damage. It weights a ton and is very sturdy and does not take up too much room with its smaller size. Overall if you can figure out the instructions and have some spare nuts/bolts and screws around (just in case you are messing a few like me) this industrial sewing machine is worth it! ... show more
