This is a competently designed and well built chain hoist. The lift chain welds are full and consistent and the chain is coated with a graphite-like material that isn't messy. The hand chain is zinc plated and clean. Action is good and the pawl system looks solid and reliable. Biggest load I've lifted with this one ton unit is a fourteen hundred pound lathe. Did the job very smoothly. Don't take this review as a positive for Vevor in general. They import a lot of stuff from various China suppliers. Some like this hoist are very good values, some others not so good in my experience.

We bought this to install in our garage to lift a 200 LB 5th wheel hitch from our truck bed when not using our trailer. It was easy to install and worked very well lifting the hitch. Pleased with this purchase and recommend it. Quality is good as well

The only issue that I have with this hoist is the fact that the chain that holds the weight is rusting. There is a weird grease on it, and if they just used the steel chain like the one you use to raise it there wouldn't be any issues. Because that chain has not rusted at all.

The day I received this chain hoist in the the mail I removed it from the box to find a nut and bolt disconnected which was the first red flag. After hanging the hoist from the rafters, I could not operate the hoist. The chain and gear assembly was jammed and I could not free it. Amazon requested that I contact the seller for a refund, but they responded: "Kindly note our warranty only suits our official orders. We have informed our Amazon team to contact you and solve your problems. Please wait patiently." So now it looks like Amazon is on the hook for being the middleman for their piece of junk. Beware and use your best judgment if you decide to buy this item. I know I regretted doing so.
