Perfect Outboard Motor Stand

I purchased this to use as a stand for my kicker motor. By mounting the mast backwards it reverses the angle of the head which makes it very close to the same angle as the transom on a boat. Works perfectly for only a few dollars more than what you would pay for one of the flimsy tubular outward motor stands. As others have mentioned I had to grind the rear support bracket so that the two rear casters would sit properly without interference. This would take about 15 seconds to correct on a large belt sander in the Chinese production facility. I can’t believe they are still shipping them like this. I would definitely recommend changing to a higher grade of hardware if you’re going to put any amount of weight on this stand. Personally, there’s no way in hell I would put an engine on it. But as an outboard motor stand it works perfectly with just the addition of a 12 inch piece of 2 x 6.

This thing was a very nice surprise! Packaged well so no scratches. Metal was thicker than I expected. Easy to assemble. Leaps and bounds upgrade over the cheap ones.

Decent stand for the price.

Nice and heavy stand, the 1300 pound one holds my all-iron SBC 5.7 vortec with no issues. Spinning it back topside again with the heads and intake on is not easy, I used my lift to help, maybe a longer bar on the stand might have helped with leverage, it comes with one about 2' long. For those who said the stand droops or breaks, the pictures make it seem like the upright was installed backwards in those cases -- the upright has to lean back away from the engine. If it's installed reversed, leaning forward toward the engine, the weight stress multiplies and I'm sure it won't hold the engine correctly. At least for the 1300 pound version. That said, the instructions are basically one exploded part diagram and are not clear. There is no step by step. It's not rocket science to put it together, but I'm not surprised people are installing the upright the wrong way.

Easy to assemble if you aren’t an idiot. I’m blown away by people saying that the instructions aren’t clear…. It’s not idiot proof but if you have any business using a engine stand you shouldn’t have a problem, excellent packaging and very high quality parts!

Parts welded incorrectly/ poor quality welds

Main post mount was welded on in the wrong position. Contacted manufacturer asking for new mainpost. Week later told to pick a replacement item from website. What website Vevor or Amazon? I purchased thru Amazon and they are no help. Can’t talk to a person only go through the system clicking boxes. Just return it. Box damaged in shipping, between finding a box and having the time to go to a shipper that’s a pain So I guess I paid for the materials to build an engine stand and will cut it apart and weld it back correctly. But I bought it because I didn’t have the time to build one. So don’t buy unless you have the skills to build it your self.
